A/N: This is the epilogue part of Chapter 46, not of the story. :D

LORELEI

THE RAIN started to pour outside the hospital. Along with the raindrops were Loki's tears. He sat there shocked, still in disbelief that Maggie lay unconscious on the ground.

The hospital staff quickly brought out a gurney and carefully lifted Maggie's unmoving body to it. They rushed it inside, going to the direction of the emergency room. The last thing that I saw before they went out of my sight was Maggie's limp arm dangling at the side of the gurney.

The people nearby who witnessed the accident surrounded the car that hit her. He went to his knees and begged the people around to let him bring his daughter inside the hospital so she'd be attended.

"Loki..." My voice cracked as I called him. I wiped the tears off my face as I sniffled. The raindrops kept on falling. "Let's go inside? Baka magkasakit ka niyan."

But Loki did not budge. He sat there silently like a rock. I couldn't see his eyes as his fringes covered them from my view. His mouth was also frozen.

"Loki..." I called him again, trying to pull his right arm. But he still didn't budge.

We sat at the lobby, his messy hair and school uniform dripping wet. Tahimik siyang nakaupo at nakatulala sa kawalan.

My trembling fingers typed a message to Tita Frigette. Wala na akong pakialam kung may typo. She reached the hospital lobby in less than five minutes, looking worried again. I explained to her the accident, and she was surprised to hear what happened to Maggie.

"My dear, are you okay?" tanong ni tita. But she received no response from her son. She frowned as she looked at Loki with so much concern. "Kailangan mo munang magpalit ng damit. Basa na 'yang uniform mo."

A doctor then came out of the emergency room, looking for any relative of the girl they brought in.

The doctor slowly shook his head.

I felt pain in my chest as if something clutched my heart so tight, it's gonna explode. If it weren't for Tita Frigette holding me still, I would have collapsed on the floor.
