why do people give up on others so easily? suddenly you're broken. you're damaged goods. you don't shine as brightly as you once did. you've turned ugly. dull. grey. useless. everything that you didn't want to be. everything that you cannot control. would they give up on nature just as quickly? do they look at the bare branches on trees during winter and scrunch their nose up in disgust? no, because they know that the leaves have to die in order to grow again. do they walk away and abandon the world each time the seasons change? no, they adapt to the new and wave goodbye to the old, hoping that it may return to the world one day. when a flower dies, do they ball their hands into a fist around its stem, demanding as to why it died? no, they give the flower a weak smile and apologise for not watering it sooner, because they know that it can't rely on itself to survive.
