something was wrong with the team.
akira had only left for a second during a practice game with nekoma, and when she came back, she could tell something was off.
her instinct, added with the thick tension on their side if the court, was enough to make her feel anxious.
"what the fuck happened?" akira asked yachi nervously.
"nothing! don't worry about it!" yachi squeaked, trying not to make akira nervous. she knew that having a mentally unstable akira would make everything worse.
"please just tell me.." akira sighed.
"hinata went in for asahi's set..." yachi said.
akira's eyes widened as she realised what had happened.
the team all saw hinata go for the ace's ball, and now everyone was nervous. they were off their game.
"and then hinata said he wouldn't be closing his eyes for his spikes." yachi continued.
"is he serious? in the middle of a match?" akira said, glancing at the team playing.
"how can we continue if there's so much tension? if kageyama and hinata fight,, i have a really bad feeling about this yacchan. the team doesn't feel the same with all of them on their toes like this-" akira panicked.
"kira, calm down. we'll get through this. we always do." kiyoko said. "look, takeda sensei is talking some sense into them. let's just let them sort this out by themselves."
"okay..."
she hoped that kiyoko would be right in the end.

the short tokyo tournament had ended, and akira didn't know if she was happy with how everything turned out. she had talked to applepie everyday, sneaking out to the roof, and she had also gotten closer to her fellow managers.
the only problem was hinata and kageyama.
there was definitely awkwardness, and a lot of tension between the two. akira couldn't shake off the sense of dread that she felt when she thought about it.
just to make sure hinata was okay, she had stuck by his side even after they had arrived back at miyagi. currently, she was in the gym with hinata and kageyama, tossing them some balls so kageyama could set for the orange-haired boy.
