practicing with bokuto, akaashi, kuroo and tsukki was draining, but it was still extremely fun. akira learnt how to make her spikes more powerful, and kuroo taught her how to block faster.
the next day akira was exhausted, after she practiced, she still stayed up to talk to apple. it felt like she only got a minute of sleep.
karasuno was up against fukurodani again, and even though karasuno was still behind, the gap between scores was closing slowly as each day passed.
akira watched intently was bokuto called for the ball. he was about to spike, and tsukishima was one of the blockers. she gasped as tsukishima's block became extremely intimidating. his arms loomed over the net as his hands stretched forwards.
bokuto ended up doing a feint.
she remembered doing the exact same thing when she played against tsukki.
"woo! go tsukki!" akira cheered, proud of his sudden growth. she glanced over at kuroo, who was looking at what had just happened. he was smirking, seemingly proud that tsukishima had learnt something from him.
he gave her a small thumbs up, and she just sent him quick finger guns. she looked over at kenma, who was standing next to kuroo. her cheeks turned pink as she turned her attention back to the match.
that night, akira practiced with bokuto, akaashi, kuroo and tsukki again. halfway through, hinata and lev showed up to join them, and akira took this opportunity to leave.
"uh, i h-have to go.. uh, polish my shoes! bye guys!" she shouted, running out of the gym.
"that was weird." akaashi said.
"at least she's talking to everyone more!" hinata cheered.
"i guess."
akira ran to her room, grabbed her switch, and then bolted to the place she had sat at two nights ago. she swiftly jumped up to the roof.
"hey apple, wanna play?" akira said when they were on the call.
"actually, my switch is dead." she heard apple frown.
"oh! i guess we can just talk then!" akira smiled.
"yeah, what do you wanna talk about?" kenma asked.
