We're all mad here;
For, from this single tear on my cheek — oh! I am in fear!
Clocks have faces that I have never seen before;
For help, I scream! But, sounds, no more.
The midnight sky is a wondrous shade of fire drowning in pastel;
Have I made my way to a candy-colored hell!
Kind sir! Please, take my hand and guide me home!
For I am terrified of this land; I do not recognise a soul.

I run for the hills with a strange fellow in tow;
But, the hills escape me like they are against me; for something it is they know.
The high lonesome hills breeze past my face as my companion withers within the wind;
I must be going mad! What is this!
The people here play cards from day 'til night;
I am a human! I am not a chess move for you to right!
Let me leave this chaotic dreamscape;
For I am scared; I am ready to escape!

I make my way to the bustling centre of this mind-boggling, enchanted world;
Surreal architecture makes friends with this archaic nature of woe;
I have nobody; no where to go!
The people are caricatures of love's past;
Something the circus would've showcased behind glass!
Some tall and many small;
All youthful; never have I seen an elder;
In confusion my name is the subject of a call!
Time to leave — I think — my escape route; must I remember?
I am greeted by white coats and delusional, sterile things;
Do not touch me! Get away from me!

Grappling with what feels like sledgehammers;
Whimsy withers into a sleepy drowse.
I wake in the most incredible of dreams;
My heart bursts at the seams!
Down the rabbit hole it appears I fell;
I hope earth wishes my life well.
Bouquets of roses; exploding into daises in hand;
Welcome, kind sir, for you are in... Wonderland.
