[ A few reminders, and please answer the question of the day, please! The question is at the end of the author's note. c: ]

"Miss [name], I'm going to take off your bandages now and when I do, I want you to tell me if you can see me waving my hand. Alright?"

She nodded her head once, feeling the presence of the medical professional step up close to her. A bitter scent rolled off of his clothes, probably from being surrounded by herbs and medicine all day long. Smelling that scent reminded her of if her fate would forever be to sit in bed for the rest of her life, or still operate onward like any normal, healthy being. The physician carefully unrolled the cloth around her eyes bit by bit.

Yes, bit by bit一each unraveling quickened her pulse, tested her patience, made her fear for Heaven's worth and it's moral values, until it stopped一the physician's hands stopped.

As did time stop for her once the cloth dropped off of her face.

"Miss [name]... Do you see me waving my hand?"

Each second ticked by after adding on to what could be the truth. Her heart faltered in disbelief.

"Blurry... My entire vision is just blurry."

Tears formed in the brims of her eyes. She sniffled into a pained cry as realization struck her without ease.

"It's blurry... It's all my blurry... Why is everything blurry..!"

The physician glanced at his assistant for help. The assistant hurried over to her side, sitting beside her and soothingly pat her on the back. "It's okay, sweetheart. Just let it all out." She softly assured her. "Every last teardrop, it'll be okay."

Outside the room in the hall, Kaeya listened intently, arms crossed over one another. His gaze was fixated on either the floor or his feet, unable to choose for itself on which one could better ease his mind. Occasionally he would even steal glances towards the door where [name]'s cries echoed from.

The physician's had spoken up after he had confirmed that [name] had calmed down a little.

"Miss Xia, from what I can confirm from is that you are partially blind."

[name] was quiet as she listened to his diagnosis.

"It's miraculous actually. It's very likely the arrow just barely grazed the corner of your eyes, where the cornea lies, and therefore you are not completely blind. Your vision may be blurry but you can at least see some color. However, the color may differentiate for you depending on how severe the damage is, therefore we'll have to run a few experiments with you."

"Is it repairable?" [name] blurted out feeling a little desperate. "My eyes..! Will... They be able to heal..?"

There was a pause in the air, before he answered her slowly. "It's a low possibility, and cannot be guaranteed. As physicians, we can only promise to help you to the best of our abilities."

Her head hung low at the statement. "May I go outside?"

"Miss, your body is still injured."

"I just want to sit outside, that's all." [name] whispered into the tense air. "After sitting here every day for an entire week, it's starting to feel suffocating."

The physician gestured to his assistant with a quiet sigh. "She's been inside for awhile now anyways; her body could use some sunlight."

"Yes, sir." The woman stood up with a nod, helping [name] get up.

Kaeya watched [name] leave the room with the woman accompanying her carefully down the stairs as her support.

Although he had wanted to speak, his mouth shut closed letting her pass without an utter of a word.
