You hand covered your eyes as you sat up in your futon. "What the hell do you want?" You asked the unknown figure.

The lights suddenly turned on, showing Kuroo standing there in his pj's. "Kuroo, what the hell? Why are you here?" You asked with a hint of anger as your sleep was getting interrupted.

He didn't say much but instead he walked further into your room. "K-kuroo what are you doing?" You asked as your eyes trailed his figure.

Kuroo leaned down into his knees and pulled you arms forward into a hug. "Kur-" before you could speak he placed his slightly chapped lips against yours. Your eyes widened as you didn't know how to react.

You raised you hand to his shoulder and pushed him back a little. As you other hand overed you lips, you looked at him and saw his tear stained cheeks. "Kuroo what in the world are you doing?"

Before you could call out to him he spoke up. "I'm sorry (Y/n) but please give me a chance." Your eyes widened as you looked at him. "Why the sudden mood change you were fine a few minutes ago." He let out an exasperated sigh as he leaned forward placing his head onto your shoulder. "I guess I finally got my head out the gutter." He took a breath a continued. "I made up my mind to make you mine, so please let me love you."

His voice cracked as you could hear to evident pain. "Tetsuro look at me." His eyes widened as he looked at you. "I-Im sorry." You took a deep breath. "I care about you, I do, but I can't lie to you, and make you believe that I love you. I can't do that, after so many years of you confessing to me, it would be inhuman of me to play with your feelings." At this point you were almost crying.

"I don't deserve your love, and I sure as hell don't deserve the amount of attention you've given me everyday. So please forget about me and find someone who deserve your love and time. I don't want you to be unhappy with me and to feel like a burden. I'm sorry, I really am." You wiped his tears as you pulled him in for a hug.

After some time, he had stopped crying and asked for you to walk him back to his dorm.
"Now got to sleep you big baby." You giggled as you dropped him back off at his dorm. Seeing the light switch off you walked back to your room.

After that eventful night (Y/n) had a restless night, she felt bad that she had rejected him but felt at ease at the same time.

The following morning (Y/n) woke up and saw her teammates in her room. "What the hell are you guys closing in here?" She asked as she got up. "Well you slept in and missed breakfast, Coach Rina is quite upset with you."

Her eyes widened as she saw the time, jumping up quickly she ran to her bathroom and got ready.

She didn't have time to grab breakfast so she ended up taking a protein bar.

"Sorry I'm late!" (Y/n) yelled as she and her team jogged over to the coach. "After the practice match see me in the faculty room." She said directing her gaze towards (Y/n). She nodded in fear as whenever she got pissed it never ended well.

The normal schedule carried out as usual, practice matches and drills, lunch and then free time. As for (Y/n) free time was punishment time.

She was currently running laps up and down the hill. She was only a few minutes late and ended up running what felt like 20 miles.

After finishing her laps (Y/n) washed up and headed to the cafeteria.

"Sorry we just cleaned up, but you can make you own food." One of the managers said. "Nah it's alright I'll just head to bed."

She gave (Y/n) a sad smile and went back to cleaning the dishes.

(Y/n) decided it was to early to got to be so she decided to just roam around the campus.

She walked down the school trail and sat down on one of the benches. The sun was starting to set as the sky became darker, so did (Y/n's) vision as she felt herself slowly fall asleep.

Before she could fully fall asleep a voice had woken her. "(Y/n) what are you doing out this late, you'll catch a cold." (Y/n) looked up and saw Daichi walking her direction.

"I should be asking you the same thing." She sighed as she sat up. "Whatever I just wanted fresh air." He said as he pulled out a can from his pocket. "I didn't see you at dinner so I got you a drink."

Her eyes narrowed at his as she slowly took the van out of his hand. "How did you know i want at dinner?" She asked skeptically. "I-I asked you teammates and they said you were running for a punishment." (Y/n) chuckled and looked up at the sky. "Thanks Daichi." She smiled sweetly at him as she took a sip of the drink.

"The sunset is so pretty." She whispered thinking Daichi didn't hear. "Yeah very pretty."
Unbeknownst to her, Daichi was looking at her with a blush flushed across his cheeks.

She looked over to see him looking at her, she smiled brightly and suddenly stood up. "I-it's getting late, you should head back." He nodded and continued to follow her back to the campus.

POV change

My and (Y/n) were walking pass the gym sharing a few jokes and laughs as I noticed someone watching us from afar. I looked over to see kuroo standing in the gym door entrance. I slightly bowed my head as we came to pass him, as he did the same back. (Y/n) didn't seem to notice him as she only kept talking.

"Samwamura-san." I head my name, I stopped in my steps and look behind be to see kuroo. "You go ahead (Y/n), good night." She grinned and went on her way. "What up kuroo-san?"  He he sighed looking a little distressed. "D-do you like (y/n)?" He asked as he rubbed his hands together nervously. My eyes widened as I could feel my cheek warm up. "U-uhh yeah I-i do." I chuckled as I could see his hand drop to his side. "That's great, just promise you'll take care of her?" I looked at him confused as his eyes seem to be holding tears. "Y-yes I promise." Kuroo sadly smiled and patted my back before walking away.

I knew for a fact that he liked her, for he always talked about her when we first arrived. I felt guilty as I watched his slouched figure disappear.

"Sorry man." I whispered.
