The next day, I walked with Ryan to school.
Don't ask me how I found him. I just did. I was venting on and on about our stupid math teacher while Ryan just smiled and shook his head.
"What?" I say.
"You're just really cool," He says. Shit,
"Thanks," I say with a blush. I start to feel light-headed. "Ry...Ryan? I... don't..." Uncontrollably, a tear falls down my face and lands in my hand. "Shit," Is all I say before I collapse.
"Charlie Charlie Charlie!" Ryan cries rushing over to catch me. "Charlie? What's going on?" He asks.
"Backpack... orange injector..." I say. Ryan finds my Epi-pen and stabs it into my shoulder. After a while, I stand up. "That witch..." I grumble.
"What?" Ryan asks catching up to me.
"My mom. She must've but actually milk in my coffee instead of almond milk." I explain. Ryan cocks his head confused. "I'm allergic to dairy," I say.
"Why would she do that?" He asks.
"I don't know." Is all I say.
"Just know I'm here for you, Charlie. And I always will be," Ryan tells me.
"Thanks," I said with a weak smile. "That's... kinda what I needed."
