Chapter 2

Gavin got back at his house a little after 7 it was later than usual since he doesn't really stay out late the latest he has ever been out was 5 he didn't like staying out late, he walked up to the door and knocked and put the key when he opened the door he saw Sarah bringing a box up the stairs while on the phone talking to someone he accidentally slammed the door closed and Sarah jumped and turned around to see Gavin standing in front of the closed door

Sarah: GAVIN!

Gavin: Sorry

Sarah: you almost gave me a heart attack! jeez don't sneak up on me like that and you almost made me drop this box with YOUR laptop in it

Gavin: is it broken????

Sarah: no

Gavin: ok that's all that matters

Sarah: what- I-.. nvm

Sarah walks upstairs a disappears down the hall but pops her head around the corner again

Sarah: hey where you any way you never get home this late

Gavin: oh....I...

Sarah:?

Gavin: I was looking around downtown Los Angela's and looking for kids that are my age

Sarah: oh your lame, *rolls eyes*
Wait have you seen Jakob, mom is mad at him

Gavin: no I haven't and why's she mad?

Sarah: he disappeared with this girl while in the middle of unpacking and didn't tell mom where he was going

Gavin: oh well he might come home tomorrow

Sarah: why do you say that?

Gavin: don't worry about it *runs upstairs * goodnight!

Sarah: *rolls eyes* ugh you never tell me anything

Gavin runs upstairs to his room to get some clothes and a towel so he can shower when he gets his stuff he hears his phone beep and he sees a text from a random number he doesn't answer since he thinks. It might be spam so he gets in the shower 🚿

*~30 minutes later~*

He gets out of the shower and changes into some shorts and a random t-shirt he sits on his bed a looks over at his phone to see 3 missed calls from the same number so he decides to calls back

Gavin: hello?
????: finally, you answered!

Gavin: um sorry I was in the shower uh who is this?

???: oh sorry it's me the girl from the park, Sophie

Gavin: oh yeah sorry your numbers are not saved on my phone

Sophie: it's ok, what are you doing tomorrow?

Gavin: unpacking

Sophie: well you think you can sneak down to the park you know the one we were at before?

Gavin: why?

Sophie: YouTube video

Gavin: hmm I'll see if I can

Sophie: great! Bye ✌🏾 new friend 👋

Gavin: bye

Gavin: I'll have to see if I can sneak away tomorrow for a bit maybe even the whole day

Gavin: I'm gonna see if she has any other social media

2 minutes later

Gavin: dang she has 2 million on instant and 1 million on TikTok, she is famous famous

All of a sudden Sarah comes barging into his room

Gavin: Sarah knock!!

Sarah: SOPHIE?!?

Gavin: what?

Sophie: the girl you were just talking to and just so happens to be my online gaming friend!!

Gavin: what really??!!

Sarah: yes really! I was just talking to her earlier plus I heard parts of your conversation

Gavin: ugh don't tell mom or Jakob

Sarah: I won't just let me come with you

Gavin: no

Sarah: plz I really wanna meet her we have been playing together online for almost a year now 🙏🏻

Gavin: fine you can come now get out of my room so I can sleep

Sarah: it's only 10

Gavin: exactly

Sarah: lame 😒 I'm surprised Sophie talks to you

Gavin: shut up and get out 😒

Sarah leaves and turn the light off but leaves the door opened leaving Gavin frustrated and closing the door himself

Gavin: Mom! I'm going to sleep goodnight you too Sarah and Jakob!
