7. Insomnia

Jae laid on his bed, facing the ceiling.

Three knocks on the door and someone came in.

"Master Jae, I have sent your approval for the reopening of the ice cream establishment for the public." Said the butler, clad in a black vest suit.

Jae nodded.

"I understand it went well then? Your happiness seems to say so." The butler said, a very small smile present on his face.

Jae shot up and nodded excitedly.

"Ah, young love. So beautiful is it not?" The butler said, sighing.

Jae fell back down onto his bed, a huge smile present on his face as he stared at his lockscreen.

The pictures you two took.

Seeing those pictures made his heart warm but also made it flutter.

Such mixed emotions were so new to him, yet he felt familiar.

He never thought of you to be real when he saw you in his dreams.

You were someone he took comfort in.

When he saw you in his dreams, he felt a kind of relief, happiness.

Now that he found out you were real and we're actually interested in him, his heart couldn't help but flutter at the thought.

You with him, that was all he could think about.

Night fell and as the rest of Korea slept, Jae Hong could not.

All he could think about was you.

Knowing there was a chance that you would not longer avoid him in school made him ecstatic.

As his body begged for rest, his brain could focus on nothing else.

Jae thought of your sleeping face, how cute you must look.

You heard your brother open his door and whistle as he walked downstairs.

Did I...stay up all night?

You got up off the bed, walking to the window.

You opened the windows and let in the light, practically blinding yourself.

You'd been up all night, the prior day's made your heart flutter, and the happiness was next level.

You rubbed your eyes as you walked over to the mirror and stared.

I look like shit. Damn you Jae and your cuteness.

You went to the bathroom and took a cold shower, hoping for the temperature to help you stay awake for the rest of the day.

You got out of the shower, your brother had already placed your ironed uniform on your bed.

You smiled, softly, putting on the uniform and light makeup.

You went downstairs and sat at the table, looking at your phone.

I still have an hour before I need to go...

Your brother walked in from the kitchen, a plate of (fav breakfast) in hand.

"Good morning, Y/n. You're up early today. It scared me I thought it was the apocalypse." Hyungsik said, chuckling as he put down your plate.
