"No way. We need to find out where they are going first." Bellamy argued as I told him my plan.

"Bellamy, if they are taking them individually, I'm the only one who can fight alone and win. You and I both know that."

"I won't let you, not when..." he trailed off and rubbed his forehead, his hat in his hand.

"Not when, what? Bellamy, you don't get to decide for me."

"I know that. But I just got you back, and I can't risk losing you again." I heard Maya walk into the bathroom to give us some privacy.

"Bellamy, you're just saying that. My life is worth nothing more than the rest of our people's."

"To me it does." I looked at him, truly looked at him and I watched him do the same. His eyes no longer hiding behind a facade, I saw everything. I, unfortunately, couldn't do the same for him. My mask I've been donning since birth seemed impossible to remove.

"Then I suggest you figure out a way around it." I felt my chest hurt as I tried to shove away all emotions.

"No. You don't get to do this. Persphyni, you don't get to just shut down and pretend you're just a husk of a person." He came closer to me as I remained still.

"I can't pretend to be something I am." I watched him frustratedly run his hands through his hair and laugh sarcastically.

"There it is. Why now, why this sudden flip? Last night was relaxed and I thought I was beginning to see the true you, but then you return to Atlys before the Jobi Nuts." I held firm in my resolve as he stepped closer. My mind went to that night, suddenly curious about his own vision as I avoided the comment.

"Why can't you just see that I want to be here for you, and for you to let me in." I shook my head firmly.

"Why? Why not." Bellamy was now within two steps of me.

"Because, I can't."

"Can't, or won't?" His voice fluctuating as he took a step closer.

"Because I don't know how." I kept my voice level as I stared into his face. Watching a small flash of realization and relief fill his eyes.

"Then let me show you." My eyes followed his hand as he slowly brought it to grab mine. But I stepped back before he could grab it.

"No. Bellamy, our people are still in here. And I have to get them out." I turned to walk to the bathroom when he grabbed my arm. "Do not argue with me on this one Bellamy." I glared at him as he softly smiled.

"So does that mean I have a chance?"

"Right now we get everyone out." And you. I left that final word unsaid, as well as the hidden doubt of making it out alive. Very pessimistic, but I would do whatever necessary to get them out. And I didn't want him to get his hopes up.

"That didn't answer my question." Bellamy said as I pulled my arm from his grasp and went to the bathroom door.

"How can I answer a question when I don't know what the question is asking? And how can I assume and give you an answer when right now we have more pressing matters to deal with." It was silent as I reached for the door handle. Then he cleared his throat and I braced myself.

"You're right. Forget this ever happened." I should have sighed in relief, but instead my gut twisted and I felt a tightness in my throat. But I shook it away.

"Good." I swung the door open to see a slightly disappointed Maya standing there with her ear at the door. "Maya, let's go find out where they are taking my family." She simply nodded and lead the way out of the room.

Maya and Bellamy walked to the elevator and I turned, going to the stairs. It would be suspicious if Maya and I were seen together, and since Bellamy's cover hadn't been blown yet, they were safer together than with me alone. In more ways than one.

I stood near the end of the hallway in the small shadow of a cement post and a broken light. The glass of the light currently in a small pile further in the corner. I kept an eye on the two guards who stood outside the room, neither of them seemed to really be watching as they talked about nonsense off to the side. The hallway around them had been empty since breakfast had started as mostly everyone was going about their day not knowing that my people were trapped and being taken for their bone marrow so that they could go to the ground.

I glanced at my wrist that held a watch Maya had 'accidentally' dropped on her way to the dining hall, a small note with it telling me when they last took one of my people. I had five minutes until those doors opened and another was taken. Maya and Bellamy were off standing at the opposite side of the hallway, out of sight from the guards.

All of us anxiously waiting as I watched Maya biting her lip and twisting her hands while Bellamy's were crossed over his chest and his jaw was clenched. I remained still in wait, even though I was currently winning the on-going battle in my mind to go and take down the guards then make my way into the bunk room.

But there were numerous problems. First, I'd have to not draw attention and that would require me taking out more than just the guards but also the cameras. And having already broken into surveillance once, I don't think I'll get lucky again. Second, there wasn't a vent into the bunk room, there was only the large fans. Making it the perfect room to keep people locked in. And third, even though it was selfishly my first thought, Bellamy would not be happy and most likely try to follow me. That not only would make things more difficult on me, but he would blow his cover.

And then the Calvary arrived, Tsing just behind. The alarms followed closely after the guards had gotten into position. And the doors to my people were wide open. I took a foot out of my hiding place and looked over from the door to where Bellamy was already staring. His head subtly moved side to side, his eyes bore into my own and it was enough for me to get back into the shadows once again.

I took my eyes off him and back to the door after I saw his shoulders relaxed. I was convinced that my plan would give him a heart attack, and I needed him to hang on a bit longer.

As the guards walked past the two with another one of my family I stepped out of the shadows and followed casually. My hat covering my head and hair that I had tucked tightly underneath. Though my daggers were a big give away I couldn't part with them. Plus, if someone can spot me just by my daggers then that means they were paying attention, and the new President Wallace was scared.
