Once (F/N) had been resuscitated (no thanks to Sougo, the ungrateful ass), they decided to take a walk around town to do some shopping and show Mitsuba the sights. To (F/N)'s surprise, she found she actually liked Mitsuba. She was a sweetheart, albeit a little out of touch with normal human taste buds.
"So," (F/N) said as they walked through the busy streets of Kabukicho, "what brings you to Edo? Did you just come to see your brother, or was there something else you wanted to do?"
Mitsuba smiled. "Oh, actually, I'm here to meet my fiancé's family."
"Your fiancé? You're engaged?" (F/N) glanced over her shoulder at Okita, who'd taken up the role of the third person on the sidewalk. He hadn't mentioned this, and (F/N) couldn't help but think that was the sort of thing his 'best friend' should know.
Fortunately, Mitsuba didn't seem to find it strange.
"Yes, I've been engaged for some time now. My fiancé's a kind man, and his family is wealthy, which is a good thing, I suppose..."
Oh, right. Medical treatment...
As (F/N) watched Mitsuba, she couldn't help but think she looked rather sad. She wondered, then, how much longer she had to live. What sort of things would she miss out on because her life was cut short?
Mitsuba was probably wondering the same thing.
This is no good...and I was supposed to help Sougo-kun keep her from worrying, too...
She thought for a moment. Then something caught her eye, and a grin crossed her face.
"Wait here a minute."
With that, she darted into a nearby store. Several minutes later, she emerged, carrying a hulking bag in her arms.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," she said with a smile. "I just needed to get a little something."
Mitsuba nodded. Meanwhile, Sougo narrowed his eyes.
"What could you possibly need from a grocery store?"
(F/N) narrowed her eyes. "Wouldn't you like to know? Anyway, Mitsuba-san, there's a nice park near here. Would you like to take a walk?"
Mitsuba's eyes brightened. "Oh, yes, that would be lovely!"
(F/N) smiled, and Okita frowned. He was suspicious again.
And this time, it was for good reason.

By the time they reached their destination, (F/N) was humming, and there was a skip in her step. She made sure to lead Mitsuba to a part of the park that wasn't full of destruction from her, Sougo, and Kagura's 'training.' Then she set down her bag, and turned to Sougo. The moment she met those big brown eyes of his, a grin crept onto her face.
"Sougo-kun," she said sweetly, "could you do me a favor, please?"

I'm dead.
That was the first thing Sougo thought when he saw (F/N)'s smile, and he only became more sure of that when he heard her request. Sure, the Tabasco thing had been going a little far, but she wasn't that mad, was she?
Then he met her gaze, and realized she really was that mad.
He wanted nothing more than to tell her 'no way in hell,' but Mitsuba was watching, and if he made it clear how little he trusted this girl, she might realize their friendship was a little...different...than what she was expecting.
