As she stood on the sand
the waves embraced her feet
'Subhan Allah' she uttered
as she gazed up at the clouds
How could her Rabb
the Lord Most High
not be trusted upon
when He created small things
with much detail, so beautifully
How could her Rabb
most Gracious, most Merciful
not be relied upon
when He the One who created her
knew her better than she knew herself
'Tawakkalthu 'ala Allah'
she whispered to her heart
And as the waves continued
to embrace her feet
her heart felt light
her worries fading away
