دموع | Tears

Holding the journal with her slender fingers , she sits on the bed snuggled up in the wintery warmth. As the events of the day passes her mind , her eyes seem to dull , tears pooling by .

The eyes ,a witness to her horrible day and the pages of her journal , a witness to her falling droplets .,

Tears pool out of my eyes

It can no longer bear the guise

Of the laughter that masks

 The hopeless sighs

 Or the smile that hides

 The broken tides

How much have I cried

'cos of this dunya that has my heart tied

And my eyes open wide

As they lay awake at night

Dreaming , for a blissful life

When hope in me died

And no one was left by my side

 It was You Al Hadi

 Who guided my mind

 To the only path

 that was and is right

 It was You Al Jabbar

Who mended my sight

For blurry were my eyes

Getting blinded by the lies

Of this measly life

It was You Al Naseer

Who helped me in my dark times

When tears fell from my eyes

 Only getting dried

 With the wind passing by

And now I wish

 I did not cry

Except for You

O Rabb of mine
