Steve Rogers looked at the small group before him as slowly a few of the them started to share their stories. It was hard for many of them, thinking about the last 5 years... it was at times still hard to believe or accept that it was time to move on for some people. However Steve made it his job to help anyone, however he can... even if he himself wasn't yet ready to let go either

Seeing that no one else wanted to share, the blonde haired man called it a day. Everyone started to slowly get their few things and as they walked towards the exit a few gave the Avenger a small smile in thanks

Meanwhile Tim, who had been hiding in the rafters, could only stare at the small group with understanding. In this line of business, tragedy is always just around the corner lurking. To think this world had been reduced to half their population... didn't sound believable

Heck, Tim didn't believe this when he saw a newspaper lying around before he entered the room. Now however... he definitely believed it now. No way would a support group be making up such a story

Expect their was something bothering Tim. Just because the population was reduced by half (something he had yet to make sense of) doesn't explain how New York got into this sort of state. Their was more going on than Tim cared to admit. This world has suffered something during the last 5 years (yes he heard someone mention the time frame) and as the detective he was, Tim was gonna get answers one way or another

Looking at the blonde haired man, who was still in the room, Tim recognized him as one of the heroes he saw on the newspaper; Captain America aka Steve Rogers

If anyone had any sort of answers, than it would be the Avengers. Should they be anything like the Justice League or the Titans, it was a safe to say that these heroes were in the conflict

Suddenly seeing movement from down below, Tim caught sight of the blonde walking out. Seeing no other option, the former Robin made his way over towards the exist himself and from a safe distance, followed after him

'What do I know so far? Between now and 5 years ago, something happened to cause the world to lose half the population, make New York and possibly the rest of the world become a waste land... so to speak and lastly I'm currently stuck with still no way of knowing how to get back home. In other words, I know nothing! Detective, right? The only lead I even have is following Blonde in front of me and-'

Keeping his eyes glued to the blonde, Tim became tense as he saw him stop and was about to turn to look in his direction. Thinking quickly, he ducks behind a trash can that was conveniently beside him and waited a moment as only silence could be heard

However Tim didn't have to wait long, as the sound of feet moving could be heard. Making sure they weren't moving towards him, Tim slowly took a peek and sighed in relief at seeing the hero continue on his way

'That was close. Maybe to close. However, can't stop now. These Avengers might be my only way of finding out answers' Tim seriously thought and decided to play it safe and follow from the rooftops this time around and also to get a better vantage point as well

Looking up ahead, the third Robin saw where it was the blonde was walking towards. It looked like it was originally a warehouse, but was transformed into a compound of sorts. Also if Tim were to be honest, he'd say the Watch Tower seemed like a better HQ, but that's just his opinion after all

Silently watching until the blonde entered the compound, Tim took note of the cameras at the entrance and couldn't help but sigh. Cameras? Seriously? Hopefully his tech is compatible with the tech of this world. Well either that or a distraction

However before he could even get out his holo-glove, a van pulled up into the compound and slowly a brown haired man stepped out and was seen trying to get the attention of the people in the camera

Seems as if his distraction had arrived just as Tim had an idea. Since the people inside, if their was anyone else inside that is, were going to be preoccupied with the new arrival, Tim might be able to get in through the rooftop, but that meant air vents again... oh well it was a price to pay if it meant not having to fight his way inside

What Tim didn't know was that soon a confrontation would happened and when it did, it wouldn't be how he had imagined it

Author's Note: Alright! Chapter 2 of A Titan's Endgame is done! Proud of myself cause I literally just typed up this whole thing today :) Had to look at a few movie clips to see where I wanted to end this chapter. Now the next chapter is the one where Tim actually meets the Avengers. I was planning on doing it with this one, but decided against it at the last minute. Till next time everyone ^.^
