They were all still arguing and Hope had deduced that it was because of Loki's sceptre.
"You speak of control yet you cause chaos!" Thor spat.
"That's his M.O, isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, we're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're a time bomb." Bruce replied.
"You need to step away." Fury retorted, taking an intimidating step forward.
"Why shouldn't the guy let of a little steam?" Tony asked before Steve walked towards him in a threatening manner.
"You know damn well why, back off!"
"I'm starting to want you to make me." The pair glared at eachother for a while before earning a sigh from Hope.
"Guys, stand down." She huffed but she was ignored.
"Yeah. Big man in a suit of armour. Take that of, what are you?"
"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." A few of the people in the room shared a 'he's not wrong' look.
"I know guys with none of that with 10 of you. I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on the wire and let the other guy crawl over you."
"I think I would just cut the wire."
"Logic!" Alex said pointing to his brother.
"Always a way out. You know you may not be a threat but you better stop pretending to be a hero."
"A hero like you? Your a laboratory experiment Rodgers, everything special about you came out of a bottle!"
"Not that this back and forth dynamic isn't fun to watch but can you guys cool it? This isn't world war 3." Vic said.
"I'm sure he thinks it is." Tony replied, not taking his angry gaze of Steve for a second.
"Do you hear that?" Hope asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and focusing in on the noise of an engine approaching and a clanking sound she heard. Vic and Alex looked at her for a second confused before turning back to the ping-pong style argument.
