Sleep well

After school I went home and laid on my bed. I laid on my belly with my head buried in my pillow wanting to forget about everything that has gone on. To forget it for some time to be happy. Even for five minutes, to have a smile on my face.

A knock sounded at my door with the handle shaking. I flicked my wrist without taking my head from my pillow. The door opened and in came Lexi and Brandon.

"Bro, the fuck are you doing?" Brandon chuckled as they both sat down on my bed.

"Masterbating." I said sarcastically. "No Brandon I'm wallowing in self pity."

"Come on. We are going to the club. It's Friday and we can just let loose and have fun." Lexi nudged my shoulder trying to encourage me.

"Thanks for the offer, but no thanks." I told her yet it came out muffled from the pillow i stuffed my face into.

"Come on, Eli. When was the last time you did anything with us?" She whined.

"When nick would drag me." I mumbled.

"Eli." She sighed.

"Don't. I've already had a mental break down today, I don't want another." I huffed and turned to them.

"I just wanna be on my own. To really be on my own so I can really process this." I added.

"Alright." Lexi nodded. "Darren and Hannah are coming with us so you'll be home alone. We'll see you in the morning."

"Ok. See you." I smiled a little at her.

"Love you." They both smiled and smothered my face in kisses.

"Yeah, yeah. Now go have fun. See you tomorrow." I chuckled and pushed them off me.

We all said our goodbyes and the two couples left. I went back up to my room and jumped on my bed. It was only 8:00pm and I was bored out of my mind. So to pass the time, i got my wings out and went for a fly.

At one in the morning, I found myself stood outside nicks house. Soon enough I found his room and went inside, thankfully he had a window open so I could climb through.

Laid on the bed was nick curled up. He shivered and held on to his knees while he slept. Cautiously I walked up to the bed and carefully pulled the covers over him. My fingers ran up and down his cheek getting a small sigh from him. Like he was content at just feeling me, well his body at least.

After a massive debate in my head, I laid down on the bed as well. Only to have nick roll over and snuggle into my chest. My arms immediately engulfed him closer, relishing this moment to hold on to.

"Hmmm, Eli." Nick mumbled. I looked down to see him still very much asleep.

"Yes." I whispered.

"I miss you."

"I miss you to."

"I'm going back to sleep now. Love you." Nick rubbed his cheek on my chest before his breaths evened out.

"I love you to. More than I let on." I kissed his head before slowly getting out of his grip. Thankfully he didn't wake up and i just sat on the chair by his desk. It may seem strangely obsessive to watch him sleep but I can't help it.

Even when he was with me I watched him sleep. Nick looks so peaceful and content that it makes me happy to see him like that. Like nothing can harm him because he's so peaceful sleeping. And I didn't want any demons coming in on him so that was just a precaution.

Soon enough, I fell asleep in the chair, yet I wanted to be wrapped up in nicks arms.

I woke up to a bag downstairs. Immediately I made myself invisible to the human eye then saw nick wake up with a gasp.

"Nicky, time to wake up." A woman walked into the room.

"What's wrong?" She asked him.

"Nothing. My head just hurts." Nick winced.

"Do you want a paracetamol?" She frowned.

"Please." He nodded. The woman left then came back minutes later with the pain killer and a glass of water.

"Do you want the day off? But you'll be home alone since me and your dad has work." She told him.

"No it's ok. If it gets any worse I'll just tell and teacher then come home." Nick said after he swallows the pill and drank the water.

"Ok hun. We're leaving now so be careful and make sure you eat something." She kissed his head and left.

I quickly teleported outside to the front door. I went to knock but the door opened and I saw a man and woman stood their.

"Hello, how can we help you?" The woman smiled at me.

"Hello. I'm here for nick. He helped me yesterday so I've come to thank him and take him to school. And treat him to a drink at Starbucks on the way." I returned the smile.

"Mum, do you know-," Nick came down the stairs but froze and blushed when he saw me. "Eli? W-what are you doing here?"

"He said he wants to take you to school and treat you to Starbucks." His mum smiled and winked at him. "Maybe he could be a future boyfriend."

"Mum." He drawled out. "He's not long got out of a relationship."

"Really? With a girl? Are you gay hunny?" She turned to me.

"Mu-," Nick started.

"Yes ma'am I am. Like nick said though, I have just gotten out of a relationship with my last boyfriend." I told her.

"Well, boys play nice. Be careful, use protection and stay safe. Have a good day. Eli you can go sit in the living room and watch tv if you want to." She said.

I nodded and went inside. Nick said goodbye to his mum and dad then they left.

"Uh, you don't have to wait for me. I can get my own ride if you want." Nick blushed and looked down.

"No, it's ok. I don't mind waiting. I kind of lied to your mum about driving. I don't have a car and I can't drive. But I will treat you to Starbucks or costa for a drink before school." I smiled softly at him.

"Thought so." He laughed about me driving. "I'll be down in ten."

I nodded then he went back to his room. I went into the living room and waited for him to get ready.

We ended up going to a milkshake place that made milkshakes out of pretty much everything. With a small argument, I paid for both drinks with nick trying to slip a five pound note in my pocket.

That's when I stopped and took it out of his hand. With a flick of my wrist I made it disappear into his school bag like it did when he first tried to give me money. God that seems so long ago.

"Hey, where'd it go?" Nick frowned but a smile trying to come through. "That kind of reminds me of someone who did that to me one time. I just can't remember who."

"It's in your school bag. Just a bit of magic that I was taught over the years. Now let's get to school before we're late." I chuckled at him.
