"Lilly you can go now!" Your boss called to you from the storage room behind you. You grinned and wiped the counter one last time before placing the cloth back where it belonged. You walked to the storage room and took off you apron and name tag, placing them with the others. You grabbed your bag and walked to the ladies toilet where you changed your work top into one of your own. Your boss gave you a little wave as you left the cafe. You waved back as you closed the door behind you stepping out into the street. It was surprisingly empty. You started the not too long walk back to your apartment.

A few minutes into the walk you saw a couple of men up ahead. They were both stood in defensive positions. You rolled your eyes, probably some stupid fight over some stupid girl as usual. However, as you drew nearer you noticed that they were not just any men - they were Captain America and Iron Man. Well at this moment they weren't in their suits so really they were Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. You weren't that surprised that they didn't get along so well as Steve was a man from the past and Tony was the man of the future. Both of the men looked very angry and didn't look that far from punching each other. You frowned debating whether or not to step in and separate them or not. Suddenly Tony's fist landed in Steve's face and you gasped. Steve took a step back, the punch obviously not hurting him that much. He took a deep breath and you saw Tony's mouth move before Steve's expression darkened and he too threw a punch. This was when you started to run. You sprinted up to the men and pulled on Tony's shoulder. "Stop it!" You said loudly, causing both the men to look at you. "Who are you?" Tony asked incredulously. "That doesn't matter, but what does is that you two stop fighting!" Tony scoffed before punching Steve again. Steve went to hit Tony again and Tony went to block the hit. However, you stepped in between them to stop the hits. Steve's quick reflexes helped him to stop himself from hitting you, but Tony was not so quick. You felt a hard hit connect with the side of your head before you lost your balance and began to fall. Again, Steve's reflexes were useful as he managed to catch you before you hit the floor but you quickly blacked out.

When you woke up you were on a bed that you didn't recognize with two men beside you that you did recognize. You groaned as you moved, pain erupting on the right side of your head. This alerted the men to your presence and they both sat up. "Are you alright ma'am?" Steve asked concerned. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Can I have some water though?" You asked him. "I'll go get it for you." Tony said standing up. He paused at the door "Sorry about hitting you by the way" He said. You chuckled "It's fine, you didn't mean to!" He left the room and Steve turned to you. "You sure you're alright?" You smiled at him sitting up on the bed. "I'm fine! Where am I?" You asked him. "Oh sorry, you're at Stark Tower. We bought you here after you passed out." You smiled sheepishly "Yeah, he really packs a punch!" You said. Steve laughed before offering his hand politely. "I'm Steve by the way." You shook his hand "Yeah, I know... I mean... um I've seen you before and um..." Steve grinned cutting you off "It's okay. Quite a few people know my name now." You smiled and spoke again "Well I'm Lilly. Thanks for bringing me here." Steve grinned and looked up as Tony came back in "Here's some water, I bought some paracetamol as well." He said handing you the tablets. You gladly took them and swallowed them with the water. "Sorry again about hitting you." You shook your head again waving away his concern.

After you had drunk the water you stood to go. Tony had already left the room so it was just you and Steve. "Will I see you again Lilly?" Steve asked. "Maybe." You grinned "Hopefully" Steve grinned. He showed you to the exit and paused when you reached the door. "I would like to take you to dinner soon." You nodded and smiled at him. "I'm free Friday night?" Steve grinned that cute little grin of his and said "Great, I'll pick you up at 6?" You giggled. "Okay but you need my address." Steve blushed realising he'd forgotten that. He turned around and darted down the hallway, returning with a piece of paper and a pen. "Here you go." He handed it to you and you wrote down your address. "I wrote my phone number as well." Steve grinned, "I'll get Tony to show me how to call you." This made you laugh a lot. "Well, bye Steve." Steve frowned "Wait a second, are you walking home?" You nodded. "Let me grab my jacket, I don't want you walking home alone - it's late!" You grinned at his sweetness and waited for Steve to grab his jacket. Once he returned you and Steve set off together. It was the start of a beautiful relationship.
