"You okay there, Y/n?" The bird man asked his student and adopted daughter, Y/n Takami.

"Hm? Oh yeah, I-I'm fine. Just a bit tired" she answered and stretched out her arms and f/c wings as she let out a yawn. Keigo looked at his daughter and sighed

"You didn't sleep last night again, didn't you?" He asked sternly and she sighed

"How can I when I know the villain's are on free loose?" She asked sternly back. The tens feeling in the air made Fumikage feel a shiver up his spine

"Go home, me and Tokoyami take over here"

"But—"

"Y/n... Go and get your damn sleep or I have to force you to it" he said and Y/n glared up at him

"No! I can't just go home and sleep! We have work to do and—" she said but got interrupted once again

"Go home!" Keigo yelled, causing Y/n and Fumikage to flinch in their places and Y/n sighed and looked down at her feet. She glanced at her boyfriend, Fumikage Tokoyami, and then at her father, his face showing that he realized what he just did.

He didn't mean to yell at her, he was just worried about her health, physically and mentally.

"Sweetie I—"

"Forget it..." she said and flapped her wings, flying up in the air and towards her home.

Keigo sighed "You were to harsh again, Hawks" Dark Shadow pointed out and Fumikage hushed him but Keigo nodded and sighed

"Let's go Tokoyami. We have work to do" he said, making the teen hear the sadness in his voice.

~ Time skip ~

Y/n stood outside the house. Knocking twice and a woman opened. Fumikage's mother stood in the doorway.

"Why hello Y/n... *sees her frown* something bothering you hon?" She asked and let her in.

"It's dad. He won't let me work again" Y/n sighed and Ms. Tokoyami sighed "Come in. My husband is out at the moment so why d in t we talk for a bit. After all, your my son's girlfriend" she said with a smirk, causing Y/n's cheeks to heat up and clear her throat "Yeah..." was all she could say and Ms. Tokoyami chuckled at the nervous girl.

"Want some tea?" She asked and Y/n smiled with a nod. "Yes, thank you"

~ Time skip ~

It's been some hours and the two females were smiling and laughing when the door opened

"Mother! Have you seen... Y/n" Fumikage trailed off when he saw Y/n looking through a family album with his mother.

"Oh, welcome home Fumi. I was just showing Y/n some of your baby pictures. You were so adorable! I miss when you were a baby~" Ms. Tokoyami said, making Y/n giggle and Fumikage to blush as he walked over and grabbed Y/n's wrist

"Let's talk, Y/n" he said and dragged her up to his room. Y/n looked back at her other hand to see his mother had gave her an old picture of him as a kid. She smirked and laid it in her pocket as they stepped inside his room.

"Something wrong?" Y/n asked and Fumikage closed the door and turned it her to let her into a hug and their lips press against each other. Y/n was shocked but soon melted into the kiss and hugged him around the neck. They parted.

"You were here al the time?" "Yeah, why?" She asked and he sighed in relief "I was going to your house with Hawks to see you but when you weren't there. We searched the whole city for you. We were really worried. Especially Hawks" he told her and she stared at him, shock covering her face.

"He was?" She asked and he sighed

"Of course he was, you're his daughter, Y/n!" He told her and she laid her head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry... I was just angry that he didn't let me do my job and that he send me home instead" she whispered and he hugged her close "I get it. But you need to go home and tell him you're alright"

"I don't want to, I can just send a message" she said and took out her phone. The photo of Fumikage fell out from her pocket and the bird's eyes his widen with a blush. He was about to take it when Y/n kissed him and taking the photo herself in the process.

They parted once again and he looked into her e/c eyes. "You sneaky bird" he whispered and Y/n smirked "In your sneaky bird" she whispered and kissed him again but that kiss didn't last long when Y/n's phone called.

She groaned and picked it up to see it was Keigo. She sighed and answered, she held the cell to her ear and took a deep breath

"Hi dad... yeah *glancing at Fumikage with a smile* I'm better than fine"
