It's been a week since I've known. I'm convinced that I am definitely pregnant since my period is late.

I've seen Shaun only once in the local university I'm studying at. Anna and I will be graduating together. Although, I've been wondering if I will really be there for graduation night with my sister.

With this in thought, I decided to go late for a class I'm already caught up in and try to calculate the times to when I conceived and when I will be giving birth. I was so into my calculations that Shaun's voice made me jump.

"Hey beautiful," he whispered in my ear. I quickly closed the notebook I was doing my calculations in and turn around with a fake smile.

He furrowed his brow at me and my stomach flips from the way he noticed my sudden nerves. Something I love about him is that he notices every detail about me. That wasn't the best time for him to do that.

"What are you hiding, huh?" He gives me a playful smile as he reaches for my notebook, but I snatch it out of his way quickly.

"Nothing," I say. "Just homework."

"A person majoring in the beauty industry has homework?" Shaun said with tease as he sat next to me.

I cleared my throat and nodded. "Of course. We are required to make dress designs or something."

He raised his eyebrows which made his blue eyes shine bright. "Wow. Really? Can I see?"

I playfully put the notebook on my tender chest and teasingly said, "The professionals never show their secrets." And trust me, love, I have a really huge one that might just change our world.

Shaun just nodded in understanding, and relief rushed through my veins when he let the subject go. I watched as he quietly leaned forward and cupped his hand on the table we were at. When he removed it, there was a small rose bud made of ice sitting in front of me. My heart fluttered at that moment as I smiled at him. I also cupped my hand and watched as a blue, glowing light was under my palm; making my ice globe with the design of flowers on it. We tend to do this to each other a lot. I mean....it was our abilities that helped us meet and become best friends in the first place.

But then my eyes grew wide once he kissed my cold hand. The trick I just did made me realize that we both have that meta-human gene. Which only means that this child will probably come out like us!

I gently took my hand out of his hold and said, "I have to go."

"What? Why?"

"I'm going to be late for class." I gave him a quick kiss on his forehead and ran down the large stairs of the library. I didn't go to class. I first went to the restroom to puke and then went to class.

Now, I've been carrying two thoughts in mind this week. Who will I tell about this baby first and what will my abilities do to this baby.

Yet, this heavy tiredness creates a headache and I sigh down at my homework. I really don't want to do anything right now. I just need to find an escape. I need someone to lighten this load....

The sound of the door opens and I tiredly look up to see Anna entering with her sweet smile again. "Hey sweetie," she says as she runs a gentle hand on my head.

"Hey," I tiredly say.

As usual, she's quick to notice the smallest things in the house. So she turns around and furrows her brows at me. "Honey. Are you okay? You've been throwing up a lot and you're always so pale."

"Yeah," I say with a hint of sarcasm. "I can see that."

Her eyes grow wide at my sudden tone and I quickly recover my posture. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that."
