The past few days had been stressful. Sybil and her cat, Beau spent their last days in Finchley with the Helen Pevensie and her three lovely children. (That is, not counting Edmund whom Sybil hated)
Sybil walked next to Susan, her Beau under her arm. Beau had somehow escaped the wreckage of their home and made her way into a nearby bush and waited for Sybil to come and get her.
"Oh you silly, kitty!" Sybil exclaimed when Beau tried to jump out of her arms. "Professor Kirk will take extra good car of us. I hear that he's rich and has a huge--" Sybil elongated the word huge "mansion!" She was supposed to be comforting the cat. But really, she was comforting herself. Beau purred.
