CHAPTER 4
THE SS SHOW
The first two to three days were so irritating and boring for Sidharth.. Shehnaaz was staying with Mom and was watching him live all day all night.. She was getting restless but Kaushal came in with a few shoots so that she could divert her mind..
“Shehnaaz, Sidharth nai hai to shoot khatam karle.. Fir uske sath time spend karne milega..” Shehnaaz looked at Kaushal and said, “Maa se baat kar ke final karti hu..”
She went and hugged Mommy Shukla and told her about it..
“Ha bache, Kar le.. tera mind divert hona zaruri hai..” suggested Mom.. Shehnaaz immediately called Kaushal, “Haa bata kab jana hai?”
“Do din me nikalna hai.. Tu thik hai na?” asked Kaushal..
“Haa.. bas wo Sara ka Jije wala drama nai samjh aa raha hai..Wo bahar aake kuch bakwas na kare to bas hai..”
“Tu abhi fikar mat kar.. Jo hona hai hum hai, manage ho jaega..” said Kaushal and they disconnected the call..
Shehnaaz would watch the Live at times.. She would Show Mom, “Maa, dekho ye workout sahi se kar raha hai, Naha bhi liya.. Ab Sidharth Khana Kha raha hai.. Hayeee, ye kitna tang aa chuka hai contestants se..”
Mom agreed, “Ha ab kya kar sakte hai.. Log to sachi boring hai..”
“Haa.. Bas ye time nikle jaldi..” She wished and prayed for their separation to end..
Shehnaaz was not much at fault this time.. Just going on social media was a wrong decision which she didn’t realise at the moment.. Many Solos had linked Sidharth with Niki, Jasmine, Hina and Pavitra.. Her heart broke when she noticed the names of the accounts that spread hate for her but were liking Sidharth with some other girl..
“Inko sirf mujhse problem hai.. Mai itni buri hu kya..” She thought to herself but she didn’t share this with anyone..
Luckily Shehbaaz called her casually..
“Oye Motto! Kaisi hai?”
“Mai badhiya.. Tu Bata..”
“Meko lag ni raha tu thik hai.. Bol kya hua?”
“Kuch kuch fans kitne ziddi hai.. Sidharth ko har kisi ke sath dekh sakte hai, bs mere sath nahi.. Kya mai itni buri hu..”
“Motto.. Tu ye dekh kitne tujhe miss kar rahe hai.. Mai dekhraha hu jisme mujhe positivity mil rahi hai.. Logo ke caption padh.. Bhht se logo ne likhe hai ki Sidharth ko dekh ke Shehnaaz ki yaad aa rahi hai.. Aur Sidharth Shehnaaz ban gaya hai.. Tu ye sab dekh.. Tujhe pata hai tu Sidharth se pyar karti hai aur Sidharth tujhse.. To log kya sochte hai isse tujhe farak nai padhna chahiye.. yaad hai na Sidharth kya samjhaya hai.. Wo hai na tere sath..”
“Shehbaaa! Tu kab aaaega wapas?”
“Aa jaunga Motto.. Tu shaant reh na please.. Abhi aise mayus mat ho.. Abhi kafi din nikalne hai.. Kuch bhi lagega to mujhe call kar.. Samjh aaya.. Jo baat karni hai, gussa utarna hai, chid chid karna hai.. Social media pe kuch mat karna please.. Samjh rahi hai na Sana..”
“Haa samjh rahi hu.. relax. Nai karungi aisa kuch..”
She spoke to him for sometime and disconnected the call..  Mom came in and asked her to join her in the kitchen..
“Ye dekh, tere pasand ke Chole Banaye hai.. aaja sath baith ke khate hai..” said mom making Shehnaaz smile wide.. She ate as she sat next to mom and they constantly would watch the Live part whenever Sidharth would come up..
“Aaj so jana Shehnaaz.. Tu bhot time se jaagi hui hai..”
“Maa, wo bhi kaha so raha hai.. Din bhar hasta khelta hai.. Kitchen me bhi kaam kar raha hai.. Timepass karne ki bhot koshish kar raha hai.. thaka raha hai khudko.. Kitna pareshan ho raha hai..”
Mom hugged Shehnaaz tight and rubbed her back.. “Shant reh bache.. wo thik ho jaega.. Tum dono ko strong rehna hai na.. Chal mere pass so ja aaj..”
Shehnaaz agreed and they went to Mom’s room and settled in to watch the episode and they were proud to see Sidharth ruling the whole episode..
“Dekha! Humara Sidharth hi chala raha hai..” said Shehnaaz beaming with pride.. her eyes shining looking at him running the whole show..
Then it was time for the promo.. Sidharth’s island task was highlighted and Shehnaaz lost it.. She unfollowed Sidharth on twitter and Instagram..                   
Baaz saw the episode too and he had Shehnaaz’s INSTAGRAM password.. He quickly followed Sidharth from her account and She was a mess..
“Maa, Ye kya kar raha hai?” was the only thing came into her mind..
“Pehle din, Wo Nikki chadh gayi.. Sab usko pasand kar rahe hai dusri ladkiyo ke sath.. Mai kya karu? Maine kya kiya hai.. Aur ye maze le raha hai..”
“Shehnaaz, tujhe lagta hai wo aisa kabhi kar sakta hai.. Promo pe judge mat kar bache.. Aise bhot se promos edit hue hai tum dono ke season ke time bhi.. Mera bachaa, tu shant ho ja.. Ignore kar.. Ye Promo me itna hype kiye hai.. I don’t think the episode will have all this..”
“Dikhaenge wahi jo wo kar raha hai..”
“Shehnaaz, tu abhi hurt hai.. Abhi kuch bhi mat soch.. Usne kaha than a kuch bhi negativity pe dhyan nai dene ke liye.. Please bache.. Mere pe bharosa hai na?” asked Mom to which Shehnaaz hugged Mom and broke down in her arms.. Mom didn’t stop her.. She let her cry.. It was necessary for her to vent down everything as staying away from Sidharth was making things difficult for her..
Mom dragged her to bed and made her lay.. She covered her with a quilt and kept her phone away.. She then looked at the live on her pwn phone and showed it to Shehnaaz.. “Dekh kaisa chidha hua hai..” said Mom as she observed her son’s mood..
Just then he walked towards the smoking room and Mom was shocked..
“Dekh, tere sath rehta tha to smoking kitna kam kar diya tha.. Aaj sham se 5 baar ja chuka hai..”
Shehnaaz melted.. She was this person who never stayed upset with Her close ones for llong.. She definitely understood after sometime that it was just a promo and nothing serious..
“Maa, maine zyada react kar diya na.. Sorry.. sidharth nai hai to mai aapko pareshan karr rahi hu na..” She said with a frown on her face and her head bent down..
“Haa.. Pareshan to bhot ho rahi hu mai..” Shehnaaz’s eyes welled up as she heard this but the next moment Mom cupped her face and kissed her forehead..
“Lekin tujhse nai.. Mere dono bache pareshan hai.. Ek dusre ke bina.. Mai bhi pareshan hu, tum dono ke bina.. Aur agar tu mujhe Maa bolti hi hai to agar pareshan kar bhi rahi hai to isme koi galat baat nai hai.. Tu shant ho ja.. Aur so ja.. Ab 5 din ho gaye hai.. Ankhe dekh bache apni..”
“Maa, channel Humare Sidharth ko aise defame kar dega.. Mai nai hone dungi aisa.. Kal subhe Kaushal se meeting kar rahi hu.. abhi message kiya hai usko.. Maine milna hai Sidharth se ek baar bas..”
“Kal karna hai na.. Kar lena.. abhi araam kar le..”
Shehnaaz obeyed Mom and rested while Mom slept.. Shehaaz kept looking at Sidharth who was getting up in the night and his eyes constantly searching for Shehnaaz..
“Haye Mera Putthu! Kaise dekh raha hai aadhi raat me darwaze ki side me.. Jaise mai aa jaungi.. Rabba Meher Kariye Sidharth pe..” She said as she continued looking at him..
He had finished shooting for the task that day and somehow he didn’t like the task very much.. He was getting way too restless and he had to take a shower thrice and he knew the promo would be edited awkwardly.. He was getting irritated with the way Hina was behaving and the night was so hard that day.. He couldn’t sleep even for an hour at a stretch! Once he slept for a nice 45 minutes and then a bad dream popped up, Shehnaaz leaving him all alone.. he woke up with a jerk and looked to his left and realized that it was just a dream..
