Hendery has played Hide and Seek Alone before the story takes place but lost. He ended up getting possessed by the spirit in the doll who took his place. He had overheard Ten and Bambam talking about the game and had tried to influence them to play.

He successfully convinces Ten to play the game, but his plan fails as Ten doesn't finish it. On the night of Ten's death, Ten had confronted him about his odd behavior and his theory. After Hendery threatens Ten, the older boy storms out.

Hendery had predicted this and prepared Ten's death beforehand. He had cut the brakes to Bambam's car and called him over to his house. The rest goes to his plans, Bambam hitting Ten and Hendery disposing of and framing him.

Hendery had grown closer to Yangyang and wanted to keep him out of the case, but the younger was too nosy. He decided to try the plan he had with Ten again, only this time he'll make sure Yangyang loses.

Epilogue
Everything here is pretty self explanatory, but I'd like to clear up a couple of things. It was actually Hendery who was in the garage, watching Yangyang's every move. He set everything up and waited for an opportunity to drag the younger out. That's why Yangyang mentioned he was completely dry.

The journal thing falls under here. In chapter 2 Hendery innocently spills ink on himself when he actually ripped the pages out of the journal that could have exposed him
