I'm so excited for today. It is my thirteenth birthday. And for once I want to sleep in. every morning I have to wake up at the mothers' asscrack of dawn to train with Cass for combat, then rhys for magic and then Az for spy classes. And today I got to sleep in. I snuggle deeper into my blankets. Just as I begin to drift back to sleep Cass barges into my room. I groan and cover my face into my pillow.
"What are you doing in bed?" asks Cass way too loud for the morning.
"Is-ma birfdae. I wan o sep im" i say into my pillow.
He yanks me by the feet out of bed and slings me over his shoulder.
"Hey!" I shriek.
"Lets see how a nice cold bath in the sidra will wake you up" he says
Before I can process what he says he is out the door and flying towards the sidra. I try and get out of his grip.
"Lemme go cass" i shriek
"As if little Ae" he says with a huff.
He dives towards the sidra and I scream. The water is so damn cold. He released me as soon as we go under. When i get to the surface i splash him in the face and he shakes his head like a dog.
"Rainbow promise" he says with a wink.
"Fine what do you want?" i say with a groan.
"You have to promise not to complain at all during training today" he says with a smile.
I roll my eyes. He points at my face accusingly
"No sas either" he says
I grumble some not so nice words and he laughs. He grabs my arm and flies us to the training area. I jog on the spot ans stretch. Time for six hours of pain.
I groan as i walk into the house. Cass chuckles and i set his shirt on unburning fire.
"Mothers tits Ae" he says and i roll my eyes.
"Cassian language in front of the little one" says Az and puts his hands over my ears.
I see everyone moving their mouths comically. I pry Az's hands from my ears and put words like 'looser' , 'terrible' and 'sucker' on the back of their leathers in ash. Only Am sees and I wink at her. She sighs and rolls her eyes. I laugh and we all sit down for a meal.
Later that night i am walking in Velaris, talking to some of my friends. I am laughing with elinya when the males grab me from behind. In grabs my arms, one grabbed my legs and one wraps a blindfold over my eyes. How did they get into velaris? I buck and kick. They won't let go goddammit. I use cass's training and pull back one leg and kick the one holding my legs. My legs swing down and i use the momentum to kick the other in the stomach. I am met with rock hard abbs. I feel my ankle shatter. I cry out and the two other males put me down gently. What the hell is happening. One of them takes the blindfold. I look around and see cass kneeling over me and Az setting my ankle. I also see rhys clutching his nose. Opps. i smack cass lightly,. I stand with my shattered ankle and walk over to rhys.
"Hold still" i tell him
I quickly fix his nose before he even notices me move.
"Happy birthday?" says Cass. i laugh and give him a vulgar gesture.
