I didn't wanna leave all my friends and memories behind but I had to I walked to the car holding the last box of stuff I felt sad but I didn't cry I couldn't cry I was numb to pain to and sadness I felt cold on the inside. I Got in the car and stared out the window nothing but trees and a few cars here and there I sat in silence not daring to say a word. It would be hours before we got to the airport I rummaged through my bag to find my headphones I finally found them and listened to my music I sat looking out the window some more. My mom broke the silence "what are you listening to asher" it was more of a command and less of a question "I told you that's not my name"  I said under my breath I looked at her knowing all she wanted to do was annoy me. I shrugged I didn't feel like answering her she snatched my headphones out my ears and looked me in my eyes her stare was cold but  intense  "you know you heard me bitch" her words were laced with venom and hatred I grabbed my headphones and put them back in my ear "I am listening to mother mother" I said staring back at her she sat back down in her seat and scoffed
My dad sat silent like always not stopping her nor stopping me it was like that for years and now for more years to come.
