where Taehyung broke up with Jeongguk without any explanation, leaving the young male heartbroken and confused. Jeongguk still loves him and misses his ex-boyfriend everyday. And then, weeks after the break up, the two meet unexpectedly and it seems like Taehyung's also not really over Jeongguk and that there's more behind it than Jeongguk had thought.

As Jeongguk stepped inside the hospital, he was met by the stinging smell of desinfectant immediately. He hated this smell and he didn't like hospitals either because all the memories he had with them were bad ones - the death of his grandfather or the one time where he had needed stitches after hitting his head too hard on a table.

Both incidents were a long time ago, he still was a small boy back then, but nevertheless, those were the reasons why he always had a bad and queasy feeling at hospitals.

Accordingly, he had felt very uncomfortable as he had gotten a call from exactly this disliked place three days ago.

They had told him that his mother had fallen down the stairs, causing her to break a leg and two bruised ribs. Luckily, she was feeling a lot better already and the doctors told her that she could be discharged soon.

Jeongguk had been very relieved as he had heard that his mother wasn't feeling too bad and that it wasn't something worse because the young male had already made up the worst scenarios inside his head.

Anyways, Jeongguk visited his mom nearly every day as far as it was possible because the woman didn't have a roommate and was happy about every company she could get.

And honestly, Jeongguk himself also benefited from it because right now, he was happy about every moment he didn't need to spend alone.

Freshly out of a relationship, he wasn't used to being alone - waking up alone, eating alone, going to bed alone. Jeongguk absolutely didn't like the feeling of that. He's lost count of how many times he'd already cried himself to sleep.

The appartement that had once belonged to him and his ex-boyfriend was just far too big for him alone. He would probably search for another one for himself only, one that's smaller and didn't hold all those memories.

With a sigh, he walked into the elevator and pressed the button. He still had problems with finding his mom's room so the man really hoped that he chose the right button.

The elevator stopped with an annoying 'ping' and shortly afterwards, the doors opened up. Jeongguk stepped outside and made his way to search for the right room.

After a few turns he noticed that there were pictures on the walls that he'd never seen before and the floor looked different as well.

Jeongguk took a look at the room numbers what made him realise that he was definitely on the wrong floor.

Annoyed at himself he turned around, only to see a familiar person walking out of one of the rooms.

Taehyung.

Taehyung, his ex-boyfriend who had left him without an explanation. "I just can't do this anymore." That was what he'd said. Nothing else, and then he left and Jeongguk hasn't seen him ever since.

With a look of shock on his face, Jeongguk locked eyes with the man. Taehyung also didn't seem less shocked because he also looked like he's seen a ghost.

Only then, Jeongguk noticed that Taehyung didn't look like he was visiting someone here. He wore grey sweatpants combined with a wide pullover, and even though it was far from being figure-hugging, Jeongguk could clearly see that the other had lost lots of weight.
