Chapter 24: The Night Where Everything Went Wrong (???)

No one's POV

The ride was silent, both Kyoshi and Katsumi tried to think of what just happened again and again... It wasn't a dream. They just did that, they really did it! But one of them were anxious about it, Team Danganronpa might've been watching from who knows where, there could be something like a camera to track them, this wasn't going to end well and one of them knew it... Katsumi. Kyoshi dozed off again and the road was now quiet, only motorcycles or bikes passed and there were hardly any cars. Minutes later, they arrived at Violet Space Tech Co.'s building, Katsumi acted like nothing happened. There were only three people present by this time, Kyoshi, her, and one of the security guards on duty who will be dismissed in a few hours. The guard saw Katsumi's incoming vehicle and greeted her a good evening with a salute and opened the border gate.

Katsumi opened the car's window and gave the guard a card "Good evening Ms. Oma!" He greeted once more "Good evening to you too, have you checked the entire building?" Katsumi asked while the guard nodded "Yes ma'am, Mr. Kastro left his water bottle behind so I kept it in the guard house, he can claim it tomorrow," the guard replied while he inserted the card Katsumi gave him into a reading machine.

"Signed in... Katsumi Oma 8:05 pm," the machine said and went off "I doubled check all the areas there weren't anything else left," the guard added and returned the card back to her "I see, thank you for telling me," Katsumi nodded at him and drove to the parking lot while the guard went back to minding his own business. Parking the car, Katsumi grabbed her bag from the back seat and started shaking the boy beside her "Kyoshi, wake up we're here," Katsumi said and shook the more even more. Suddenly, Kyoshi's eyes fluttered open "H-huh? O-oh, okay," Kyoshi looked around and rubbed his eyes, grabbed his things and got out of the car and entered the now empty building.

The two made it to the elevator and selected the floor where Katsumi's office was. Normally, Katsumi would just take the stairs even if it takes a while to get there and not mind the elevators, those things make her dizzy but there's work she needs to finish quickly so there was no time for using the stairs now. There was nothing but a pin drop of silence until one of them spoke up "Sis?" Kyoshi tugged her sleeve like a child calling for their parent's attention. This made Katsumi flinch but Kyoshi didn't seem to notice. Tonight, the girl seemed a bit jumpy "Yes?" Katsumi shrugged the feeling off and acted like her usual self "Do you think the plan would work?" Kyoshi asked her making her flinch again.

"Damn it Kyoshi," Katsumi mentally scoffed, here they go again "Well, I'm positive it'll work," she replied holding the boy close to her "Alright," Kyoshi said and looked down at the elevator's floor. "I'm sorry," Katsumi spoke up making the boy look at her "Eh? What are you apologizing for?" Kyoshi asked with a worried tone "If ever this plan fails- well, will both succeed and fail because are lives are in the line, feel free to scold me, curse at me, tell me I'm the worst, and a dirty liar," Katsumi looked at him with sad eyes. "Oh come on sis, I'd never do that... Maybe I would but it's not what you expect and afterall, this is for the sake of Koki and the others," Kyoshi replied with a smile but in that smile Katsumi knew, he understood everything, that smile had fear mixed in it. "Now let's carry on," he added as the elevator sounded making its doors slide open. Katsumi and Kyoshi went out of the elevator and went to Katsumi's office.

Katsumi unlocked her office's door and turned on its lights "Finally," Kyoshi spoke up and flopped on the office's couch. Katsumi on the other hand, quickly closed the doors, placed her bag on her desk, and prepared for work. She also turned the iPad on which is where the tracking device was connected at. She turned on the tracking map but it was empty "It seems they haven't arrived at the facility yet, I guess we just have to wait then," Katsumi thought and continued working while Kyoshi was finishing his unfinished homework. Moments have passed and the tracker still haven't had notified them yet, Kyoshi already finished his school works and was free to either take a nap or take a walk around the building, it's a part of his routine whenever Katsumi is on duty.
