Chapter 28: Breaking Two Out

Minutes have passed and the two groups finally reunited in the location Mizuno gave to Katsumi but this time, they had Kyoshi with them. "Big sis! Guys!" Kyoshi smiled when he saw them and rushed to Katsumi, Maki, and Shuichi whom he hugged tightly. "Kyoshi, we're glad your safe," Shuichi said "They didn't do anything to you did they?" Maki asked "No, I'm fine, besides they only asked me some questions, in which I lied in answering them," Kyoshi chuckled as Katsumi ruffled with his hair. "Well, I'm glad you're safe, now I think Kyoshi should go back to his cell, we'll discuss our plan there," Katsumi said "I'll guard the door!" Maki volunteerd "Alright," Katsumi replied and they went to Kyoshi's cell afterwards.

The cell was more wider than what they have imagined, it had a full sized king bed, a water dispenser, some foods, an empty food tray, an air conditioner, and some slippers placed at the side if the bed. "I wasn't expecting this," Mizuno looked around and leaned on the wall "Believe me, I didn't either, it's a great place to prevent someone who's locked up from going insane but not the best one to stay on a daily basis," Kyoshi replied and sat on the bed while Katsumi and Tatiana sat beside him. "So, about what we discovered, let's hear what you found, starting with us," Himiko said.

"Mother?" Katsumi looked at Tatiana who smiled "We found out where Kyoshi was being locked up from the security cams room, Mizuno found out about it when she roamed around from the first and second floor, after she found it, she called us to the second floor," Tatiana stated while Katsumi nodded in response. "Nyeh, it was a good thing no one saw us rushing to his cell, and I knocked out a guard who was holding the keys," Himiko smiled and clapped her hands cheering for herself "I knocked two out with my leg hehe," Mizuno chuckled and scratched the back of her neck.

"Alright, anything else that you discovered on the way here?" Shuichi asked "Hmmm, there are at least five secret rooms here, at least that's what I heard from one of the guards talking," Mizuno said and scratched her head.

"And that's about it," Tatiana looked at her two children and sighed. "What about you guys?" Kyoshi looked at Shuichi then at Katsumi "We found something very frustrating not even mother can handle it," Katsumi said and sighed "Why? Katsumi, dear what is it?" Tatiana looked at her with a worried face. Silence came until Shuichi finally spoke up "The chairman is Mr. Shirogane," he said and frowned from his words.

Himiko's eyes widened as she couldn't believe what the detective had just said, Mizuno had her hand covering her mouth in shock, Kyoshi's had fear painted in his face, and Tatiana clenched her fist as she tried to keep her anger away. "How? HOW?!" Tatiana finally let out her rage as Kyoshi grabbed his mother and gently shook her "Mama, calm down please, there might be a guard passing by," Kyoshi begged as Tatiana started to calm down.

"We're not sure how he became the chairman, since I- we... Still saw him during the days when V3 was still going, it might be possible that the former chairman resigned and Mr. Shirogane was the who replaced him," Katsumi stated and placed a hand on her head, desperate to take the helmet off but she can't because they're weren't done here, and there was still much to do. "But if he replaced him then maybe Mr. Shirogane and the former chairman had some kind of connection," Shuichi said while outside the door, Maki was listening to the whole conversation since she was very close to the door.

"Well that's a surprise, anything else big sis?" Kyoshi looked at Katsumi and leaned onto Tatiana who hugged her son in return still relieved that they found him. "Well, he's planning to make another killing game but his wife Tsumi Shirogane or Mrs. Shirogane is against it," Katsumi added "I see, then we should at least go to her for some information!" Mizuno said and pumped a fist on the palm of her other hand "Nyeh, if Tsumugi's parents are here then there's a good chance she's here too!" Himiko stated earning a nod from the others.
