Welcome to the Barren Rock! This maximum-security prison is infamous among well-off Earth Kingdom citizens for it's zero-escape record. A metal-walled fortress in the middle of a mountain, the only way in and out of the Barren Rock is a tunnel the entrance.
With every wall and room lit by torches, the middle of this hidden fortess holds a courtyard. During courtyard time, guards positioned at the only rock part of the prison, out of range for any earthbender on the ground, open the ceiling of the cavern to allow daylight and fresh air in.
Just outside this prison is a holding place for any animal companions that would've otherwise been left alone. Unlike the Barren Rock, this area is much more humane, and all animals are treated humanely.
All of an inmate's possessions are taken from them upon arrival to the Barren Rock, and they are forced to wear a green uniform.
Armed guards escort the new inmates in, five minutes before the morning courtyard time.
Glares are directed to all of the new inmates.
