"Ahhh! Ugh!"

Tumilapon ako nang patamaan ako nito. It uses its big paw to throw me away on the ground. My body rolled on the ground. Nagkasugat-sugat ako.

Halos tumama pa ang katawan ko pabalik sa ilog! Mabuti na lang at malayo kami doon. Umalingawngaw naman ang tinig nito. I glared at it when I stood up.

"It is not good to hurt people! Don't you know that?!"

Sinagot ako nito ng ungol at bigla na lang sumugod! This time, I managed to get away by jumping all I might to the side. I avoided the body but I forgot about the tail!

"OUCH!"

Napahawak ako sa tiyan dahil doon ako tinamaan. I fell on my knees and I think I wanted to puke. That was so hard for me! When I looked at my dress, its rip.

Binalik ko ang tingin dito. Tumakbo ako patungo sa kanya. Kung kailangan kong lumaban, lalaban ako. For the sake of West Ruby. I made a jump near its paws.

I held unto its fur and started climbing on it. Malapit ako sa ulo nito umakyat. Gumalaw ito nang gumalaw at pilit akong tinatanggal sa katawan niyo. Oh, no you don't.

Its paws try to remove me from the body. Napangisi ako nang hindi ito magtagumpay. It growled again. Hinigpitan ko ang kapit at binilisan ang pag-akyat. When I am top of it, I was about to bite it but something caught my attention. Napatitig ako doon.

Instead of biting this creature, I crawled myself to the big splinter while holding to the furs. I tried measuring it with my arm. And I found out, its taller than my arm. How can this thing poked this creature? Aww. Poor thing.

Napangiwi naman ako nang bigla na naman nag-ingay. Humawak ako sa splinter at tumayo. Then, I pull it off with all my strength. My body stilled and my teeth gritted. I unconsciously bit my lower lip. It growled again and tried removing me from its body.

"Uggghhh!" I grunted so much when I am close to pulling it off.

Napaatras ako nang matanggal ko, causing me to fall. I shrieked when I fall. I am expecting I would fall on the hard ground, but I felt my body landing on a soft, warm body. And I saw the newly hatched baby. Napangiti ako, tuwang-tuwa talaga.

"Nice catch, darling," I caressed its stomach.

Umalis ako dito hawak pa rin ang malaking splinter. When I looked back at the bigger one, its staring at me. Nagulat ako nang ibinaba nito ang ulo. As if it's bowing. What happened?

"Thank you. For removing that thing from my body. That is the reason of my loud howls."

My lips parted. "Y-you can talk?"

It has a woman voice.

Its big eye blink at me in a friendly way. "Okay? Y-you're welcome."

Lumapit rito ang sumalo sa akin. Then, they hugged each other. In dogish way. I smirked.

A mother.

"Papaano kita mababayaran sa kabutihan mo? Humihingi rin ako ng tawad sa pananakit sa 'yo. I do not trust creatures that are different from us. They are dangerous."

Nakatingala ako sa kanya habang kausap niya ako. "Uh, I am dangerous?" nilapag ko ang splinter.

"You are the first who is not my kind who never hurt me."
