This one's a headcanon :)
After she died, Tonks became a ghost at Hogwarts. She was most of the students' favourite ghost, she would prank all the bullies and sometimes the teachers, she would cheer people up if they were sad, and she told the best stories. A new club was formed, called the Spooky Story Society, the Triple S. She would tell stories of her time in the order, recounts of the Battle of Hogwarts, and made some up.
For Teddy, this meant seeing his mother every school day. He was able to talk to her as if she was still alive, and this made him the happiest kid alive, he knew he was extremely lucky to be able to talk to her still.
And it took years of convincing, but eventually, Remus became a ghost too. However, he instead kept mainly to himself, only appearing every so often to talk to his son.
