For oopsjosie, So sorry it took so long to write. I had no motivation. Also I really hope that you like it. I feel like it's not my best but I'm sure the second part will be better.

Update - Hey Josie, I'm not sure what has happened but you seem to have been removed from my messages and I can't find the request for your imagine. I know it was two parts but I can't remember what you wanted the second part to be about. Please message me with the details. Thanks,
Caitlin

You had, had enough. Your parents had asked other hunters for help and refused to tell you which hunters they were. You only got on with a few hunters but you were pretty sure that they were busy 'cause you last heard the Winchester brothers and their dad were in Washington, Seatlle and Bobby Singer was in Souix Falls, getting info for other hunters. You had spent time with the Winchester brothers quite a lot over the past few summers. Their dad had left them at your house and took off with your parents to hunt down a few things but now you could hunt properly. Your dad finally convinced your mom that you could hunt on your own. It was a simple salt & burn case but now at last minute your parents had called in some other hunters to help you because they didn't believe you could do it. Well you'd show them, you found out a few days ago where the body was buried all you needed to do was hope the ghost would be late on getting there when you start to burn it.

You hid the dufflebag under your bed as your door opened. It was your mom, you scowled. She came in and shut the door. "I know you're mad at us Boo but it's for your own good." Your mom told you, this made you scowl even more. She started hunting at eleven and you were fifteen now.

"Why do you think I can't do this on my own? I mean you started hunting at eleven and dad started hunting when he was nine. Why can't you just let me do this on my own?" You asked her as you ran a hand through your dirty blonde hair. It was something you had picked up from the eldest Winchester brother. Dean inflicted most of your habits but Sam influenced you to read and study more. You preferred the younger brother anyway, he wasn't as reckless. Your mom smiled as she noticed the familiar trait, before her eyes trailed your slightly messy room which had old classic rock records and books scattered around the floor and on your bed. You weren't the tidiest person when it came to researching.

"Josie, you have to understand that I didn't want this life for you. I just want to postpone it for as long as possible." Your mom explained.

"Did you ever think to ask me what I wanted? I mean I want to hunt, I find half the creatures fascinating even though they could rip me to shreds in seconds." You retorted quite rudely but you were upset, you couldn't help it, it was another trait you had picked up from Dean, to make sure no one could pick up how you really felt. Your mom sighed before leaving the room and sharply shutting the door, it closed with a loud thud. You groaned, closing your brown eyes as you rubbed the back of your neck. You pulled the dufflebag out from under your bed, it contained salt, kerosene, a lighter, an iron poker, a shotgun, shotgun shells filled with salt and a home made first aid kit. You knew better than to leave for the hunt unprepared. You'd leave later tonight when everyone was asleep. It was better this way.

Later that night you quietly left the house with your dufflebag over your shoulder, the grave yard was around 10 minutes away on foot. You arrived at the graveyard where the body had been buried, now all you needed to do was find the correct grave. Eventually you found the headstone that read Cordelia Paulson, this was it, your first case on your own. You grabbed the shovel that you had planted behind the headstone when you were last here finding the grave and started to dig up the grave. You just got the lid of the coffin off and jumped out of the dug up grave to get your supplies out when you were thrown against another large headstone. You hit it with a thud and groaned standing up and looking around, nothing was there so you headed back towards your dufflebag and grabbed your sawed off double barrel shotgun that you filled with rock salt shotgun shells. You kept a tight grip of it as you pulled out the container of rock salt to scatter over the body while you were in the middle of that you heard a blood curdling screech before something, Cordelia, grabbed you by your hair and swung you towards a tree. You yelled out in pain as you collided with the tree, your shotgun falling out of your hand.

"JOSIE!" You heard a familiar voice yell out for you, you turned and saw Sammy and Dean running towards you, Dean shot at Cordelia's transparent form and she disappeared which bought you some time to get up and grab your shotgun.

"Sam! Dean! What are you guys doing here?" You asked in a slightly annoyed tone, this was your hunt.

"Your parents called, asked if we could help out on your case." Dean explained.

"I don't need nor do I want your help!" You snapped. "I'm handling it just fine."

"Yeah because that yell of pain was a great signal that you can do this on your own." Dean retorted sarcastically.

"Josie! Dean! We don't have time for this!" Sam scolded you both. You looked at him darkly and stalked over to your dufflebag, as you pulled out the kerosene Cordelia reappeared and screeched at you throwing you into another headstone, she dug her hand into your chest gripping your heart, slowly adding more and more pressure as you struggled to reach your gun which was mere centimeters away from your fingertips. Dean tried to help you but Cordelia quickly knocked him unconscious.

"S-sam." You choked out as the pressure got tighter. You were starting to see black spots in your vision and the last thing you heard was Sam calling out for you as Cordelia went up in flames.

You woke up in your bed with a gasp, you looked around your room slowly and your eyes stopped on Sam's slumped form in your desk chair. You slowly got out of your bed and walked over to him.

"Sam..." You whispered shaking him gently. His head snapped up and looked at you, scanning you to see if you were alright. He stood up and put his hands on your cheeks.

"Josie, are you alright?" He asked sounding frantic. You laughed softly.

"I'm still a little sore but other than that I'm alright." You said smiling lightly at him. He sighed and visibly relaxed. You giggled.

"What?" He asked as he released your face. You were slightly disappointed that he let you go.

"You're such a worrywart." You commented teasingly. He mock glared at you.

"Well I am so sorry for worrying that my best friend might not wake up." He stated sarcastically as he started to head towards your door. "I'll just be going now."

"No, wait, don't go." You deadpanned. He turned back to you and gave you a big cheesy smile.

"I always knew you loved me." He commented as he plopped himself onto your bed. You rolled your eyes and sat down beside him, resting your head on his shoulder. He lay his head on top of yours. "I do  have to go soon though, dad said I could stay until you woke up and they'll know you're awake by now." Sam informed you. You nodded sadly. You two continued to sit in a comfortable silence until Dean came up and told Sam that it was time to go. You gave Dean a hug.

"See ya around Deano, I'll miss you. Don't leave it too long until your next visit." You told him during the hug.

"Yeah, I'll miss you too Squirt. Should see you soon though." Dean replied before kissing the top of your head and leaving your room telling Sam not to take too long saying goodbye. You turned to Sam and he pulled you into a hug.

"I'll miss you Sammy." You whispered into the hug. He nodded.

"I'll miss you too Josie-boo." He said before releasing you from the hug and heading to the door. He stopped at the door and turned back to you.

"Wha-?" You started to ask before you were cut of by Sam pulling you into a kiss. You were shocked, so many things were going through your mind, this was Sam, Sammy, the boy you had spent summers talking to about crushes and heartbreaks, you hadn't realized how much he had grown until this moment and almost as quick as it started the moment ended and he quickly left your room. You stood there still in shock. What brought you out of it was the sound of their dad's impala starting up but by the time you reached the front door they had already taken off and for some reason you knew that you wouldn't be seeing Sam for a number of years. Although you knew the time would come again when you would see him next but for now, you would remember him as the boy that became your best friend and made you fall in love within a small moment in time that meant almost everything to you.
