Wanda's hair was blowing in the wind as she walked amidst the destruction that was her hometown. She stepped onto a destroyed train, nothing but anger and revenge on her mind.

"Wanda," a robotic voice called out. "If you stay here, you'll die."

"I just did," Wanda kneeled down and looked Ultron square in the face. "Do you know how it felt?"

Wanda then used her powers to rip out Ultron's metal heart, tears pricking the corners of her eyes. "It felt like that!"

Just then, the ground began to fall from the sky, with Wanda along with it. All the Avengers had already reached safety, or in Tony's case, he had the suit. Wanda began to panic as she felt herself begin to float. She then used her power to move debris out of her way and put her arms at her side and used her power to fly out. Shocked that it had work, she did it again to accelerate herself upwards, hopefully to find a jet to land on.

Meanwhile, the jets were continuing upwards, bringing civilians to safety. Clint and Steve were on one of the civilian jets, Natasha and Vision were on the jet with Fury and Hill, Hulk had disappeared, and Thor, Tony and Rhodey were on their way to a jet. Wanda had finally reached one of the civilian jets, and it just so happened to be the one Clint and Steve were on.

"Hey, kid," Clint halfheartedly smiled, knowing she knew what had happened.

Wanda looked down to see Pietro's body lifelessly laying on the ground. She began sobbing and sat down next to him to say goodbye.

"No," Wanda helplessly cried. "No. It wasn't supposed to end this way."

Clint then got out of his seat and sat on the ground next to Wanda, side hugging her and letting her rest her head on his shoulder as she cried. Steve then came over and sat next to them, lightly rubbing Wanda's shoulder.

"Hey, guys, what-" Tony and Thor landed on the civilian jet while Rhodey went to the 'ex-SHIELD' jet. "Oh. I-I'm sorry."

"I too know how it feels to lose a brother," Thor sadly said in sympathy. "My condolences."

Steve, Thor, and Tony then decided to let her have some space and moved away just a little. They, especially Tony, weren't sure how to feel after what she had done to them; messing with their minds. Still, they knew she was really just a scared kid, and couldn't stay too mad at her. Clint continued sitting with Wanda as she cried into his shoulder and whispered in Sokovian.

Back on the 'ex-SHIELD' jet, Natasha had tried to track down the Hulk, but failed. He had escaped on some sort of plane during the battle and left. Rhodey and Fury were discussing all that had happened and Hill and Natasha were talking.

"So, uh, what the hell is that?" Hill asked, referencing Vision.

"Beats me, ask Tony," Natasha shrugged.

A few hours later, the civilians were all receiving the medical care they needed and Tony helped arrange it so they had places to stay until they were able to get back on their feet. Of course, Tony paid for everything, even the funerals for those who sadly passed. The Avengers were also finally able to go back to the compound. Natasha, Rhodey, and Vision were there first, with everyone else coming not long after. When everyone else had arrived, Nat, Rhodey, and Vision were sitting in the common room and eating a snack.

"Hey, guys," Nat tiredly greeted everyone as they walked in.

Wanda, meanwhile, had taken off Nat's jacket and meekly walked up to where Nat was sitting on the couch. "Here's this back."

Nat, slightly confused, took the jacket back and watched as Wanda turned to go back to Clint. Clint then led her into one of the many spare bedrooms in the compound.

"Is she okay?" Nat raised an eyebrow as Clint returned to the common room.

"Her brother," Clint rubbed his forehead. "I went back to save a kid and Ultron was about to shoot me from the one plane when I was on my way back to the jet. Out of nowhere, Pietro ran in front of me and he got killed."

"Oh," Nat sadly responded. "Is she gonna stay with us?"

"Yeah," Tony joined the conversation. "Least I can do, especially after my own weapons killed her parents and got her into this mess."

"Tony, you can't blame yourself," Nat assured.

"Yeah, well I do," Tony shrugged. "She clearly hates me, though."

"She'll come around," Steve patted Tony's shoulder.

"I can hope," Tony sighed. "If it weren't for me, she wouldn't have signed up for HYDRA and she wouldn't have screwed with our minds. And Ultron would've never-"

"Tony," Nat interrupted before he could continue. "It's over. All we can do is hope for the best."
