Sabre and Orange Steve need to defeat the Darkness to save the world, but they need to get all of the crystals to be able to create Rainbow Steve. Before they do so, they create Light Steve with a little bit of the blue crystal and the orange crystal, to help them before they create Rainbow Steve.
