After taking a break for several days, Path rushed back to work and started on work that piled up until he was dizzy.  He worked for a company as an organizer that hosts various events and seminars. Work keeps pouring in. As a designer he was responsible for setting up everything, so he was always busy. Even with two assistants, he could only work on his assigned job. During his break, the art department wasn’t able to cope up. Two events were booked at the same and each client had their own demands. Everything was set on the table; Path himself was being summoned by his boss to go over it quickly. After reading the requests of the clients, he started working on it right away. Order and details were the key elements needed for the event to go smoothly. He wanted to finish his work quickly so that he can go back to Ran right away. Everything was going steadily. It was a little bit past three when his supervisor was done and signaled they can go home. Path grabbed his bag and ran out of the company, and took a train, eager to get home.

How was Ran doing?

Path’s thoughts were filled with worry. Ran didn’t know anything at all when he left for work, He didn’t teach him how to use the bathroom, the microwave, or even how to turn on the lights. Getting out of the car, he went straight into his condo without even stopping to buy dinner.  Getting on the elevator, he kept pressing the button thinking it would go faster and jogged to his door. “Ran”

“yes,” a bright voice answered him, got out of the bed, and hugged him tightly.

“I’m back,” Path said happily.

“I missed you so much” Ran said longingly as he looked up at P’Path. The man gently pinched his nose and kissed his forehead

“I missed you too” he replied softly and kissed both cheeks. “Can you forgive me for leaving you for a long time and for not teaching you how to turn on the light?” Path guiltily asked. Ran smiled until his eyes disappeared.

“I wasn’t scared. I knew that you would be back soon,” Ran replied.

What a cutie, why are you so kind? Even if he just has two days to live, he is still so cute. If they had been together for a long time, he would have lost his temper


“You sure know how to act cute,” he happily teased, adoring the little cutie. Ran knitted his eyebrows, confused

“You told me to,” Ran said.

“I told you to behave, wait for me and not to go out on the balcony. You can’t just stay in bed, not use the bathroom and not eat or drink,” he sighed. "What if I was too busy to come home, what would you have done? Were you just going to go hungry?”

Path sounded so angry, that Ran felt ashamed

“You told me to sit on the bed and not go anywhere, so I did,” he replied softly. Looking at Path’s sad face, He hugged him, bringing Ran’s face and chest to his waist.

“I’m sorry P’Path, please don’t be angry with me”

Path closed his eyes, He wasn’t mad at his boyfriend, but at himself for telling Ran what to do without thinking about it carefully. Less than 72 hours ago, Ran didn’t know what he could and couldn’t do. He stroked Ran’s fine, dark brown hair, bent down and kissed him.

“I’m not mad, I’m just worried,” he said while staring at those brown eyes, leaning in to kiss those soft plump lips before pulling back and saying, “don’t do this next time.”

Path stood still, eyes and mouth wide open. Ran planned to turn into a human, but if he didn’t know how to sleep, eat, and do other basic human things, he was no different from a doll.
