- will straight up poke and grab the area without thinking
- she can tell what's wrong my closing her eyes and envisioning the damage
-was forced to eat this devil fruit because of her parents putting pressure on her future

- Weapon is basically a sword hidden inside a cane

-has a limp in her right leg from getting shot in the joint, giving her a permanent limp, this is her reason for using a the cane (both helpful in battle and in normal life)
-Has pumped into Whitebeard once or twice and Luffy on several occasions, Luffy once stayed on her island until the log pose set. She met Whitebeard while Roger was still alive.
-Her dogs name is Luke, he's a Sheltie-Bernese mountain dog mix

- Mari is an avid smoker and drinker, when traumatic experiences come into her life both habits worsen
Backstory:
At the current time of meeting Gold D. Roger, she was currently on the run from escaping her families colt, who practically saw no empathy and wanted her to run that path in her life. She ended up meeting them in the same town Rayleigh was in, needing a place to stay she asked them if she could join along with them. Roger had pondered for a while, then asked if she had any skills, she said yes and explained her abilities that she could provide for him, many years went by as they got older. After Rogers execution she had started going on the run, away from marines, years later she settled down on the country side of a large populated island off the coast of the grand line, though thankfully she stayed off the grid and out of sight, finding out she was pregnant with a man's child after she had settled from being on the run for so long (she had many reckless hook ups in her younger times.) She then had Andrew, who ended up joining his own pirate crew at the age of 19. For a while she stayed like this, on a her own land and away from others, effectively living off of it, she was then ratted out by some towns people and was chased off the island. This went on for several more years until she found a island were it barely had any living things in besides animals and a small village towards the east coast, the island was called Rainy Fall's (kind of like a pun because it rains a lot there from being farther from the sun atmosphere of the map, so they always got the worst of fall and winter weather.) Mari settles down finally, adopting some farm animals, a dog and even a house lizard that takes care of the bugs.
Her house is elevated off of the ground by very large and tall wooden polls, there's a long staircase that takes her up to her house, it's like this because of flooding seasons coming around early sometimes. She meets Otani before time skip when Luffy stayed on her island and bumped into Luffy during marineford where her son/Otani's dad dies.
(During the two year time skip, Otani ended up being sent by Kuma with his devil fruit to her grandmothers island but had completely forgotten, She lived with Maria and trained as her pupil during the two year time skip before leaving to try and find her old crew.)

Fun Fact;
- Maria changed her name after joining Rayleigh & Rogers crew and becoming the second mate (since Rayleigh is the first mate.) Her real old name was Sophia DiAngelo- but she wanted to hide her identity so none of her old cult family members would find her. So she changed it to Maria Ybañez
