Chapter 2: Catalyst the Lone heroine finds a partner

Catalyst's POV:
I woke up the next day after a whole night of being a hero, I turned on the TV and saw a report of the masked hero saving several people from a falling elevator using superhuman strength. "Whoa, who is this guy? He's getting more popular every passing minute." I said as I pulled up the area he was spotted in and tried to find a common destination. "If the mall was close to him, then he should be somewhere within Paradise." I said as I went to put my suit in my bag as I put on my civilian clothing. 

I left the warehouse and got a bus ticket to Paradise. Once I got there, I began my search. During my search I accidently ran into a guy with a red kitsune shirt and black shorts. 

"Ow, hey watch where you're... Um, actually I'm sorry. I should have watched where I was going." He said as he helped me up, "Maybe you should watch where you're walking." I said, "Hey, I said I was sorry." He said, "Whatever." I said as I started to walk away when I saw his mask hanging on his belt. "Where'd you get that mask?" I asked, "My parents gave it to me. I lost them to werewolves a while ago." He said as he looked down and tightened his fists, "I still have nightmares about that night." He said. I could hear the sadness in his voice, "I'm sorry to hear that. I'm Catalyst." I said, "I'm Drift. Um, do you come here often?" Drift asked. "*Chuckles* You're really asking me that?" I asked, "Sorry, it's a mental tick of mine." Drift said. Before I said anything else an explosion and I saw Rapscallion on a rampage. "*Growls*", 'Did Drift just growl?' I asked myself, "I got to go." Drift said as he ran off, "Wait, man. Maybe I'll see him again." I said as I ran into a closet and put on my suit and mask.
