Chapter IV: "Point of View: Mayim"

Mayim's POV

*phone ringing*

"Hello, Mark"

"Hey Mayim, I have some good news"

"What is it Mark?"

"There is a casting in a show called the "The Big Bang Theory", they said they are looking for a woman version Jim Parsons"

"Oh really? that's great news Mark"

"And here's the catch, I got you in for auditions"

"OMG that is good news"

"Yeah auditions will be tomorrow, at 5:00 pm"

"Oh great, I will be there"

"Ok Mayim great, I will see you tomorrow, Bye!"

"Bye Mark!"

I can't believe I got an audition, I should get the part. Mark is my agent/manager he deals with castings hopefully I can be back in showbiz. I started to research the show "The Big Bang Theory".

Its Friday morning, the day of my audition, omg I am excited and at the same time nervous. I got out of bed, took a morning shower to start my day, go to the kitchen to make myself breakfast and coffee. I happily enjoyed my breakfast and sat on my living room, chilling and reviewing my lines for the audition. Its 12pm I got out of my house and drove off to The Big Bang Theory Studio. Mark was patiently standing outside the studio, waiting for me.

I got out my car and walked directly to him

"Mayim!! are you ready for your audition?" mark said

"I am but still nervous, well this is my first after I finished my doctorate" I replied

"You will be good at this, trust me" mark said

"Surely hope so" I replied

We enter the studio and a staff assisted us to the writers room, where the auditions will be held. I was really nervous, a lot of women are there lining for the audition, I got my number and sat beside mark. 10 minutes before the audition will start, I felt the urge to go the bathroom. I stood up and

"Mayim, where are you going?" Mark asked

"Oh I am just going to the bathroom, this is just gonna take 5 min" I replied

"Oh ok" he replied

As I am walking to the bathroom, I suddenly-

*bumps*

"Ouch" I said

*papers scattered to the floor*

I bumped into a man who doesn't look where he was going, like urghhhh

"Miss I am so sorry *helping me to stand up* Are you ok---" he said and just paused

I stood there completely confused on his eyes, staring at me that will never end. And-

"Oh! its ok, you should probably look on where you are going" I said

He was just really staring at me with no perfect explanation why does, he stare at me like an art piece magically created by a well known artist that everybody stares at

"Um, Excuse me? Sir?" I said getting his attention

"Ohhh, um-um-um I am very sorry" he replied

Then a lady pulled him into the room, and I continued to walk to the bathroom. After 5 minutes, I get out of the bathroom, walking back to my seat. The auditions was very long because of there are so many women auditioned for the part. Then it is my turn, I entered the room and began to introduce myself, in the middle of my introduction I saw the guy, the guy I just bumped in earlier. And it was weird cause he still keeps on staring me I don't know why. Well after my introduction I began to start my screen test. Then I finished it, they said they are just gonna call me when I got the Job, and I said goodbye thanking them for their time. I get out there and

"Mayim how was it?" mark asked

"Well I think it was good, they said that they are just gonna call me when I got the job" I replied

"Oh ok, how bout we go out for a dinner" mark said

"Oh yeah sure" I replied

I left the studio, mark and I got off to dinner, as we are eating our food my phone rang, and the number was unknown, I still answered it.

"Hello?"

"Good Evening, can I speak to Ms. Mayim Bialik?

"Speaking"

"Hi this is from The Big Bang Theory, we would like to congratulate you that you are picked for the role"

"Oh ok, thank you"

"We will be emailing you some details and stuffs about your role, once again congratulations and have a great evening"

The call dropped and

"Who was it Mayim?" mark asked "I got the Job" I said still shocked from the call

"OMG really?? Oh my gosh I am so happy for you!!!"

"OMG thank you, I still cant believe I got it"

"Well you deserve it Mayim"

"Thank you Mark, I wouldn't get it without your help"

The night was wonderful, I got the job and I can pay health insurance. They started email me about details and schedules. I am gonna be joining the rest of the cast for table read, on Monday and I am super excited. But there is still something bothering me, I still don't know who the heck was the guy I just bumped into the day of the audition, his face was so familiar I really thought I've seen him before, well I just ignored it.

It was Monday, the day of my first table read, I was so excited to meet the rest of the cast. I drove off early to the studio and I found my own parking spot, I parked my car and walked to the studio. Some staffs greeted me and assisted me to my dressing room, and hand me a script for todays table read. I called mark, and he said he is on his way. I roam around my dressing room looking at some stuffs they put their. Then a staff entered my dressing room, saying that the table read is starting and I better go down cause the writers are gonna introduce me and the other female character. I got out the dressing room and I saw the woman who played another character. We greeted each other gracefully, she was so beautiful and very cute. We both walked to the table read and I saw the guy, the guy who bumped on the day of audition. I Know he was familiar, he was freaking Jim Parsons. Chuck Lorre introduced us and I introduced myself, then sat down across him, across the guy who bumped me and I didn't even notice that he was Jim Parsons. We finished the table read, rehearsals will start in a few minutes but the cast formed a circle introducing their selves, they were super nice and I am really happy I am one of them, then the guy who bumped into me introduce and I was right, he was Jim Parsons. We both had a hand shake and it was really awkward because, the rest of the cast are staring at both of us, because he is still holding my hand.

"Um you can let go now" I said

"Oh oh u-um um, I am sorry" he pulls his hand back

"Oh its ok" I replied gently

I excuse myself to go to the bathroom before rehearsals start then Kaley and Melissa come with me. It was really awkward seeing him, but I think he moved on of the bumping incident, and besides we are co workers now.
