We get ice cream, I paid, and head back to the house, when we get there there is a man standing in the kitchen talking to Billy. "Oh, Charlie, Jake, and Maggy are home," Billy says wheeling over to us, Charlie stares at me the whole time. "Maggy, this is Charlie, Charlie this is Maggy," Billy says introducing us "Hello," Charlie says before turning to Billy to talk. "Ok," I say as I start to walk upstairs "Jake, Billy, can I talk to you both?" I hear Charlie ask before I let the tears fall. He knows, the man knows, great just great. I always thought music can heal any wound, so I put that theory to the test.

It's crazy when
The thing you love the most is the detriment
Let that sink in
You can think again
When the hand you wanna hold is a weapon and
You're nothin' but skin

Oh, 'cause I keep diggin' myself down deeper

I won't stop 'til I get where you are
I keep running, I keep running, I keep running

They say I may be making a mistake

I would've followed all the way, no matter how far
I know when you go down all your darkest roads
I would've followed all the way to the graveyard

Oh, 'cause I keep diggin' myself down deeper

I won't stop 'til I get where you are
I keep running when both my feet hurt
I won't stop 'til I get where you are
Oh, when you go down all your darkest roads
I would've followed all the way to the graveyard (no, oh)

You look at me (look at me)

With eyes so dark, don't know how you even see
You push right through me (push right through me)
It's gettin' real
You lock the door, you're drunk at the steering wheel
And I can't conceal

Oh, 'cause I've been diggin' myself down deeper

I won't stop 'til I get where you are
I keep running, I keep running, I keep running

They say I may be making a mistake

I would've followed all the way, no matter how far
I know when you go down all your darkest roads
I would've followed all the way to the graveyard

Oh, 'cause I keep diggin' myself down deeper

I won't stop 'til I get where you are
I keep running when both my feet hurt
I won't stop 'til I get where you are
Oh, when you go down all your darkest roads
I would've followed all the way to the graveyard

Oh, it's funny how

The warning signs can feel like they're butterflies

Oh, 'cause I keep diggin' myself down deeper

I won't stop 'til I get where you are
I keep running when both my feet hurt
I won't stop 'til I get where you are
Oh, when you go down all your darkest roads
I would've followed all the way to the graveyard

I keep listening to different songs as I lay on my bed, eyes semi-dry of tears. I see the door crack open and see Jake he gives me a small smile before he walks in. He sits down on the side of the bed and pulls me into his arms, when he does this I feel like I am safe and the dangers are gone and he is my shield. I take my pods out and set them on the nightstand "You can talk to me you know," he tells me as he looks down at me. I just nod my head as darkness covers me again. This time it's different, I am still hidden under the bed with my father on the outside I hear the gunshot, and tears start to fall like every other time, but this time instead of me running out to find daddy again I hear the door open. I see feet in the doorway, they move towards my bed and stop. I wait a heartbeat before a face appears, a man with eyes like endless pits "Got you," he whispers before I wake up screaming. "Maggy!" I hear someone yell before I am swept up in someone's arms "It's ok your safe," I hear Jake whisper to me as he rocks me back and forth. I bury my face in his shirt and let the tears fall.
