After Merid's actions at the clan gathering, Elinor dragged Merid and Y/n into the tapestry room.
"I don't believe you! I've just about had enough of you, lad!" Elinor snapped at Merid who walked away from his mother.
Y/n stood far away from the mother-son duo and watched the scene unfold in front of her.
"You're the one that want me to...!" he grumbled as he paced around in annoyance.
"You just embarrassed them! You embarrassed me!" Elinor accused in anger.
"I followed the rules!" Merid defended himself.
"You don't know what you've done!" Elinor pointed an accusing finger at him then closed the door and turned back to him.
"I don't care how..." Merid started.
But the queen cut him off and snapped, "They'll be fire and sword if it's not set right."
Y/n wasn't having it anymore. She was getting irritated of their lack of communication. They needed to listen to each other and understand before accusing each other. So she found some courage and snapped.
"Just listen to him!" She yelled at Elinor.
Elinor and Merid turned their attention to her. Where Merid gave her thankful look but Elinor narrowed her eyes at the girl who hung her head, losing all the courage she showed few moments ago.
'Oh-oh she is in trouble' she knew the look on Elinor's face too well. Maybe if she pray hard, she can fade away in dust right now.
"I am the queen! He will listen to me! And you are not in any position to demand either. You are also in fault, young lady." Elinor glared at her.
"It's not her fault! She didn't do anything." Merid glared back at her mother and stood in front of the h/c haired girl protectively.
He balled his fist and groaned, "Oh! This is so unfair!" he banged his fist on table causing the girl behind him to wince.
Elinor laughed bitterly and looked at the two teenagers. "Huh! Unfair?"
"You were never there for me! This whole marriage is what you want! Do you ever bother to ask what I want? No! You walk around telling me what to do, what not to do! Trying to make me be like you! Well, I'm not going to be like you!" Merid ranted as he picked up a sword and swing it around.
Elinor placed her hands on her hips and shook her head, grumbling, "Ach! You're acting like a child!"
"And you're a beast! That's what you are!" Merid Growled.
