Lillian's Perspective
When I woke up, two things hit me. One, it was Friday, and two, Fred was asleep with his arms around my waist. I glanced at my surroundings and realised that I was facing him, my own arms around his torso.
It was early morning, and none of the other Ravenclaws were awake yet. Instead of trying to get up, I watched Fred's face, thinking. I moved one of my hands up to his neck and ran my fingers through his shoulder-length ginger hair. Why he looked so hot with long hair, I couldn't figure out, but I didn't want to think of that just yet.
Even though I had willingly allowed Fred into my evening, I had expected him to ask me about my nightmare. He didn't ask, and I didn't say anything. Whether out of respect or what, I had no idea. Fred had odd, but sometimes logical reasoning for the things he did. However, him being there for me when I asked him too, staying with me all through the night, was all the support I needed. If only I could fall asleep with him every night. Then the nightmares wouldn't come, and my memories would be full of happy things. Well, maybe. I guess I wouldn't know. Just because he evoked wonderful memories didn't mean that he would be able to take all the bad ones away. This was going to be my battle, and I was glad that Fred was with me for the ride. He was willing to struggle with me, something I never knew him to be capable of. I guess I underestimated his character.
My stroking his hair eventually woke him up. His eyes opened slowly and his mouth curved into a heart-stopping smile.
"Hello, beautiful," he whispered, moving one of his hands to find the back of my neck.
"Why do you do that?" I asked softly.
"This?" He asked, making a circle on my neck.
"Yeah."
"Because there's a pressure point there. I know it relaxes you," he explained gently.
"Hm," I sighed, feeling the urge to kiss him. He thought about me much more than I gave him credit for.
Fred acted upon the urge first, moving the hand that had been on the back of my neck to the back of my head and pulling me to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him as tenderly as I could. I loved these little moments we had together. The soft kiss and the gentle conversation. I knew he loved me, but my nightmares always got in the way of my ability to love him. I needed to figure that out.
We kissed.
For awhile.
We had an odd tendency to do that.
When I heard the Ravenclaws moving around upstairs, I knew it was time to get ready for school.
I playfully shoved Fred off the couch, and he caught himself before he hit the floor, a boyish grin on his face. I stood up, and he wrapped his arms around my waist, kissing me again.
Finally, I pulled away to brush my hair, and then together we walked to the Great Hall.
Lindsay and George were already seated at the Gryffindor table when we entered and sat across from them. The couple gave us a look with an arched eyebrow but didn't say anything.
When the owls flew down to the tables, I received a note from Draco.
Dear Lillian,
I was hoping you would join me this evening at 7 o'clock in the chamber near the Slytherin common room. The one we met in last time.
Draco
