Neutral POV:

The sun was unexpectedly warm for the end of September. The green leaves were quietly running through the little breeze of the day. Everything was calm, comforting like peace came to Earth just for this special day.

"Hey Hey Hey!!"-shouted excited some voice, quite recognizable

"Hm? Hello?"-a soft and in the same time cold tone approached

"Are you one of the first years joining the volleyball team? I just wanted to meet everyone before the first practice!"-big and enthusiastic eyes stared into a pair of deep green eyes. The boy gave his hand-"I am Bokuto, nice to meet you."

"Yes, I am new in the team. My name is Akaashi"-he shaked his hand. Usually he hated this type of people-loud and annoying-but there was just something that made Akaashi smirk.

"So what position do you like to play?"

"I am usually a tosser."

"WAIT REALLY?? THAT'S AWESOME!! I AM A SPIKER!"-a pure happiness went through the face of Bokuto.

"Well, since we are the first ones here, do you want to practice a little, while we are waiting for someone to open the gym."

"I am in!! Will you toss me later???"

"Well... sure, why not."

When the practice started Bokuto grabbed the first ball he saw and threw it to Akaashi. They didn't say any words, but the moment the black haired boy tossed the ball and the white haired one spiked it almost perfectly from the first try, both of them went through some kind of déjà vu. It felt like this already happened and it is just long lost and forgotten memory.

They just looked at each other, without a world, they knew, that was a real thing. There was some strange tension in the air, but kind of pleasing. The weird silence was broken from Bokuto.

"WOAH! DID YOU SEE THAT!?!?! WE MADE A PERFECT SHOT FROM THE FIRST TRY! YOUR TOSSES ARE SO GOOD!!!"

"Haha, thanks I guess."-Akaashi gave him a soft smile. He was not sure what just happened but it kind of felt that his soul finally met peace. What he was searching for in his life was already found.

This pair of sweet golden eyes was the only thing he was going to care for from now on, making his best for them to smile. Protecting them with his life and keeping the childish note in the sweet voice of the boy he just met.

Akaashi knew that and decided it right on the moment. It was his duty now because long time ago he made this promise. Not really remembering how or why. He just knew.

And even tho these souls finally found themselves yet again together, their story was just about to begin.
