"Baby, are you sure? I could tell Calum if you decide to back out,"
It was now Friday which is the day of the double-date.
To say I was nervous would be an understatement. I'm officially Luke's now and he's mine.
The guilt is still there but I tried my best to push it away and surprisingly; it's working. Luke's presence being the massive help.
"No, I'm sure. I know I can do this so we're gonna do this,"
"Promise me that you're actually sure about this?"
"I promise, Luke. It's just a date anyway, just like our usual lunch,"
"Yeah, I know. But our lunch wasn't that-"
"Nope, I got this. I'm your boyfriend for real now, remember?" I said, grinning up at him.
"Okay, I'll give you one more chance to back out, are you in or are you not?"
"Let's just go. Go finish your hair and I'll wait downstairs," I pecked his lips quickly before snatching my phone and walked downstairs.
"Hey, Liz."
"Hi, darling. Are you gonna head out?"
"Yupp. Michael invited us to a double-date sooo"
"Well, have fun then. Will you be back for dinner?"
"Um... I don't really know actually. Our basic plan is just to hang out at this diner downtown, the one that the four of us used to go, but we might come up with another plan so I don't know. I'll let you know if we're having dinner here,"
"But you're still sleeping over right?"
"Yeah, of course, I do. That baby giraffe won't gonna stop calling me if I didn't sleepover," I said jokingly and Liz laughed.
"That's just Luke to you; he's a clingy leech,"
"That is indeed correct," I giggled at her words and she laughed again.
"What are you guys laughing about?"
"Hm? Nothing, just talking about leech and a giraffe," I answered innocently. Luke cocked his eyebrows at me, clearly not buying my lie. Liz chuckled at her son, but then she excuses herself,
"Well, alright then. I'll just go rest upstairs. It's been a long shift. You both take care, yeah?"
"Sweet dreams, Liz. I'll see you later,"
"Bye, mum. I love you." She waved at us and then strolled up the stairs.
"Sooo... you ready?"
"Yeah, let's just get this over with. I'm sure it won't be that bad," I said, internally trying to convince myself.
"It'll be amazing because I get to spend it with my boyfriend,"
"Oh, which one?" I playfully asked.
"Last time I check I only have one which stayed under the name of Ashton Fletcher Irwin and I intended to keep it that way."
"Well, last time I check Ashton Fletcher Irwin was taken by a baby giraffe under the name of Luke Robert Hemmings, sooo..." I tauntingly said but Luke gasped.
"What?"
"You were talking about me, weren't you?"
"When?"
"With my mum!"
"Oh, the leech and the giraffe, it's a nice story,"
