No longer can i be, your little girl,

There's too much sacrifice, in this world,

I can't see the rainbow, after the storm,

I don't need to be helped, anymore,

I can reach the jar, the book, the phone,

I can swim by myself, you can leave me alone,

I have grown up, as the time passed by,

The hand you held, is no longer mine,

Its bigger, stronger, independent too,

The years have impacted greatly, its true.

I know you wanted a your baby back,

But she's gone, and I'm sorry for that.
