"So.." Asuma started as he tossed his dart towards the dart board, it wasn't surprising that it landed dead centre in the middle of the board. His sharp eyes averted towards the silver haired nin who had his eye glued to his orange book.

"When will you announce to the rest of us that you are dating someone?" Asuma spoke, waiting for a reaction from his long time friend.

Kakashi did not portray any form of facial expression however, he had shut his orange book; which made Asuma grin.

"What now?" Kakashi asked the Sarutobi.

"Come now mate. Even my old gramps could see it up from heaven. You are totally dating a hot pink-haired nurse aren't you?" Asuma teased Kakashi.

Kakashi could feel the back of his neck growing warm, if it weren't for his mask, Asuma could immediately see that Kakashi was blushing.

"We aren't dating, you asswipe. I am merely helping her get on her feet and hopefully find someone who appreciates her." Kakashi replied in an annoyed tone. Kakashi quickly grabbed his drink before chugging it down noisily.

Kakashi never stayed in any relationship before, he had his usual flings when he was on a long-time missions but that was it. He had no idea HOW to work IN a relationship. He was just afraid that he might hurt Sakura if they were to ever be in one. He could not bear to see her broken again. She was THAT precious to him. This pushed him to believe that he could NEVER be a part of her; to not hurt her even further. The only way for her to not get hurt is to provide her with proper knowledge to prepare herself for whoever that truly deserves her.

"So.." Asuma continued, he enjoyed seeing his friend nervous and annoyed like this, "..who do you think she will most likely date?"

"Haven't a clue, Asuma. I just.." Kakashi heaved a loud sigh. "I just don't want my student to go through that again okay? It makes me feel like a crappy teacher. I lost Sasuke to Orochimaru. I wasn't a good enough teacher to Sakura or Naruto. I am just trying to help."

Asuma nodded quietly. Kakashi was trying to run from the question but Asuma could read Kakashi like a book. Kakashi might have not noticed it yet, but Kakashi's feelings were bursting over the seams. He never expressed himself well. He could hide his feelings to himself and no one would know what was going on in his mind. Which was not a good thing, he suppresses these emotions and neglects them instead of addressing them. Kakashi was currently expressing his concerns towards Asuma. Something that he had never done before and Asuma knew it must be due to his feelings for the pinkette. Asuma was worried however if Kakashi would neglect THOSE feelings too. He was hoping that would not be the case for if it was, Kakashi would be hurting himself more than he would ever admit it.

"Trying to help, huh?" Asuma repeated as he too took a sip of his drink. He wondered what would become of the duo.

..........

Sakura heard someone laughing at the top of their lungs, that person sounded oddly familiar. Sakura reached out to her bedside table for her clock and looked at the time; 03:00.

The kunoichi heaved a loud sigh but got out of bed anyways and walked slowly towards her front door as it rang and looked through the peephole viewer, she was surprised by the view before her, a drunk Kakashi who was supported with his arm looped over Asuma's shoulder.

"Sakura can you open up please?" Asuma begged through her front door.

Asuma bolted right in and practically threw Kakashi onto the couch.
