She walked into my life
Made herself at home
Swore she'd stay through thick and thin
That I'd never be alone

She left me to the afterlife
After biting through to bone
Now her toothbrush lies decrepit
As does her abandoned throne

I hang banished from her easel
A completed work in monochrome
Her finishing touch was but a sprinkle
Of haunting Eau de Cologne
