In times like these, colours in the sky shimmer brighter
When we embrace, our limbs constrict a little tighter
Pupils dilate; summer is indeed a mental state
I swear your laugh sounds a little lighter

Struck by bolts of creative lightning, we compose
Poems, songs and novels, celebrating even the lows
Come one, come all; catch the carnival before it's fall
We can't promise a happy ending, only magnificent shows
