Addley P.O.V

I wake up to Dino, my great dane slobbering all over my face, I laugh while pushing the two-hundred pound dog off me.

I roll over in my creaky twin mattress I got a couple years ago to check the time. 4:30 am not bad it will be another couple hours before mother awakes, and father left for a business trip yesterday.

I walk into the bathroom silently looking into the mirror to see a tired girl with sad mint green eyes and frizzy red hair. I quickly brush my teeth and put my hair in a french braid hoping it stays.

Dino whining informed me that it was time to feed him. While he eats I clean house. By the time I'm done it's about 8 am so I have enough time to bring the big lug on a walk.

I whistle letting Dino know to wait at the door while I get dressed. I rush up the stairs quietly as possible. I padded in to my room to change into a worn out pair of skinny jeans with a plain black and green plaided long sleeve.

I go back down stairs putting my combat boots on and open the door breathing in the fresh air outside.

Dino walks beside me as we get outside on a trail we frequently use to escape when mother's in a bad mood. By the time we get back mother is up and yelling into the home phone so loudly I could hear her outside.

" I don't want her here anymore and all your doing is visiting that bastard son of yours." Mother screams slamming the phone down just in time to see me opening the door.

" Where where you, were you selling you body and whoring yourself out for enjoyment slut?" Mother questions.

I don't bother answering knowing I will get punished anyway and with a sore throat it will just make it worse. She spits in my face telling me to stay there while she rummages through the cabnits until she her horrible concoction.

She tells me to kneel and forces the lemon juice and vinegar down my throat. I gurggle trying not to get sick. Dino whines scratching at the door and mother walks away into her room.

I rush to let my furry friend in. When Dino settles down I tiptoe across the hall and into fathers study where he keeps all his important information.

I dig through his paperwork until I find what I'm look for. Bingo, I do a little victory dance as I look at the paper.

Roderick Griffen owner of house 257 Sunnyvale Court, South Carolina
Blah, blah, blah

Mother screams for me to get her dishes and goes back to sleep. I unlock fathers safe getting enough money for plane tickets for both me a Dino as well as to keep us afloat while I search for my brother.

I scrambled to my room and pack all my stuff into two of fathers suitcases. I take the car keys and get Dino to hop in the front with me as I drive off to the nearest airport which is two hours away from Kinsale.

When I get to the airport I got my ticket and waited until my flight came in at 2 am.

Thirteen hours later....

After getting off my plane and collecting all my belongings I got Dino and headed to the bus stop waiting for the next bus to come and collect me.

When I finally got on the bus it was a two hour drive to Sunnyvale Court where my brother lived. I walked from the bus stop with Dino on a leash while dragging my luggage behind be.

I look up to see the house my brother is supposed to be living in, and I nervously walk up the driveway and tenderly knock on the door, when no one answers I knock louder. Still no one answers so I wait.

An hour later I'm still sitting on the porch with Dino when a car pulls up in a driveway a few houses over.

And an exact replica of me walks out but way more muscular.

He walks up to me caustiouly and asks, " Who are you?"

I answer with, " Bloody hell, um oh my I can't believe that I actually oh my gosh my name is Addley, Addley Griffen and this is Dino." I said petting him softly.

Nathan frowns and said, "Griffen?"

I nod my head and say, " Yes, Hi my name is Addley Griffen I'm sixteen and my father's a bloody bastard."

Nathan goes white after hearing me say this and I start to hyperventilate black spots coat my vision and the last thing I hear is yelling and Dino barking with worry.
