Chapter 15~Home Again

"E-excuse me," you say, as you pass through all the people as you exit the train. Mom should be waiting for me here. You pick up your phone and check the time.

4:20 p.m.

You make your way through the exit and step outside. You look around worried since you can't seem to find your mom anywhere. You grip your shirt. What if she forgot...?-

"Y/N! There you are!" You hear in the distance, you look in the direction the voice is coming from. You see your mom in a leg brace waving at you, you burst into tears.

"Mom!!" You say as you drop your luggage and run to her. You hug her as tears roll down your cheeks.

"Hey, hey, it's ok. I'm ok Y/N" she says as her fingers stroke your hair. You nuzzle your face into her chest. She hugs you tight. She lets you go and smiles with little tears in her eyes. She chuckles.

"You're such a crybaby." She says in a playful manner.

You wipe your tears.

"Hey, I see tears in your eyes too!" You say. She laughs.

"I missed you so much," she says.

"I missed you to mom."

"I think it's about time we head to the house" she says. You nod as you run back to grab your stuff. Your mom heads to the car and gets in. You walk towards it with your suitcases in your arms.

"Wait, how are you going to drive?" You say looking at her foot brace.

"Please, a brace like this won't stop me," she chuckles.

"Now get in."

You shrug your shoulders and get into the car.

(Short time skip)

You unbuckle your seatbelt and jump out of the car.

"We're finally home!!" You say excitedly as you run to the front door. You open the door and go inside. Finally back!

"Don't forget about your luggage. You have some unpacking to do." Your mom says as she walks through the door. You frown.

"Yea, ok." You say with a sigh as you walk back to the car and grab your stuff. Why did I pack so many things! It's going to take me hours to unpack...
You carry your stuff upstairs and sit on the floor as you start unpacking. You grab a pair of shorts and put them in your drawer, as you do so, a white flame appears on the clothing and in your hand. Huh? Fire!! Not this again! You shake your hand trying to get it off. Damnit! Somehow the flame starts to feel hot on your skin, it burns.

"Gah!" You say in pain and panic.
You get up and run downstairs.

"Y/N, everything o-"
You run into your mom and move pass her as you put your hand in the sink and let the water run on it.

"Ahhhhh" you say in relief. You grab a towel and dry your hand and turn around. Your mom stands there with her hands on her hips, and a slightly angry face.

"Y/N," she says. Crap! She hasn't heard about the villain attack or my new powers. She's gonna flip!

"Uhhh, y-yea...?" You say nervously.

"Care explaining what that was all about?" She says. You take a few steps back trying to get out of this conversation but as you do you hit the counter. There's no way out! Well, she has to find out sooner or later....
