While Stallions and the trio try to retrieve the crystal, Xenophobia gloated and said, "These red buttons will lead these horses into my trap. Then I win!"
Noticing that Stallions and the trio were coming back, Xenophobia hid in a bush just in the nick of time and carefully peeked at where Stallions and the trio were landing. Because of this, the four unicorns failed to notice the red buttons they were stepping, trapping them in cages.
This shocked Stallions as the man standing there revealed to be Xenophobia in disguise. "The crystal's mine now," he cackled, taking the crystal from Stallions' horn. A few seconds later, he ordered a brainwashed El Yoshida to lock them up in crystal cages.
